Mom found out I have a digital camera. She's OK with it though. The only thing that bothered her was the fact that I didn't tell her about it right away. She seems to think I'm too secretive and hiding stuff from her. Well, I am a bit, but it's not like I'm a deviant or engaging in anything immoral or anything. I'm just active in stuff she wouldn't understand or care for. Besides, it's not like I have to share every minute detail of my life with her. I'll explain the reason I didn't tell her about the camera right away...

I'm thinking about changing my layout. Not the color scheme, but the style. It's not that I don't like 'Component' but I just want to do something different. I'm thinking about either doing 'The Boxer' or one of the new ones.

I went to Best Buy yesterday and found three DVD's of 'Samurai Champloo.' They cost about $75.00 total, so I'll have to see how much money I'll have left over from bills. Plus, I need to drop of the application I picked up from Barnes & Noble yesterday and pick one up from Books-A-Million.

I don't see why you would have to hide buying a camera from her, but that's just me. There are a lot of things I don't tell my mom either, but it's because she could care less about them. *ker-sigh*

Well, it had something to do with the fact that she had mentioned sometime that she was upset with people getting digital cameras before she was able to since she's very serious about photography. I just wanted one so I would have a nice one for regular pictures. I don't plan on using it for anything major.

I should just explain that to her.

I think I was just being paranoid.

The only thing I don't like is I don't have easy access to my userinfo and I can't change what the music and mood text say.

I may cahnge my background image to what I have as my wallpaper on my desktop. I haven't decided yet.

TOTALLY same thing with my dad. I just do my own thing and if he finds out about something like... Well I can't think of something off the top of my head. He gets annoyed that I didn't tell him. First off, its not like we talk so :P I only tell him what I need to tell him. He doesnt understand anything about me anyway, we are two completely different people.

Exactly. I sometimes feel like I'm in a marriage or something. I guess it has something to do with it just being the two of us. How do I explain to her that I have my own life and my own interests that have nothing to do with her without hurting her feelings. I mean, I love my mom dearly, but we're two seperate people with seperate interests. She seems to take everything so personally and that I'm trying to shut her out of my life. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Plus, she sems to thing my being unemployed is somehow a fault of hers. It isn't. It's a fault of mine. It's something I need to work on, but I'm getting there gradually.

We need to have a talk and hopefully she won't get defensive like she usually does.
