Well, I did it. I made the Soleta icon I was talking about in my last post.





Isn't she pretty?

I do plan on using it, but if anyone want to swipe (soleta_nf this is mostly directed at you), you can.

Actually, I was just comparing the icons, and could I get the filter you had on the original? I like it the way it was, I just wanted the text changed. Sorry if I'm asking a lot. And thanks! (Yay for prizes!)

Did you make the original icon with different layers? In that case, all the layers of the original should be saved and you should be able to just change the text. If you've already merged the layers, try un-merging. If it's too much trouble, don't worry about it, I just like how you had the picture originally.

I know I used layers, but trying to get one of them (the gradient layer), to look exactly as it was on the first one, might take some doing.

But I'll play around while I have the original as a refrence.

Another idea, if you can't find the screen layer that was on the original icon, if to take the spots off this icon. I liked how they were softer in the original, but you could also just take them out. Thanks.

I think it has to do withthe fact I used a dark gradient over the second one as opposed to the first. That might've had something to do with it...

Yes, many people save different versions of their icons - with text, without text, etc. I also save the layered version in a Photoshop file, so I can go back in later and play with the layers.
