I have this sinking feeling we're gonna end up evacuating. I don't know all the details as of yet. And of course, I'm worried. I feel I have a legitimate reason to be. Frances is a lot stronger than Charley was and it looks to be headed straight for us. There are several factors to consider here. Aside from the massive potential property damage and the injury factor, the main thing I'm worried about is being homeless. Either that, or finding a gaping hole in the side of my house. We have a decent sized oak tree in our back yard. Now, the tree itself I believe to be fairly well anchored, but it has a few dubiously attached limbs that might decide to break free and land on our house. My bedroom happens to be directly underneath. Power loss is something I wouldn't exactly be thrilled with (since I'd be cut off from everyone on here), but I could deal with it.

On a brighter note (hey, find 'em where you can), my fangirl showed up on Shine. Mine's the one going, "I just think Alucard is the shiznit!!" The link on my name leads to here.

Quote of the day: In the face of uncertainty, there is nothing wrong with hope."

Words to live by, now especially.

Just keep hoping for the best. Even if you did lose your house, if you're still alive and kicking, you're that much better off. If worse comes to worse, you can always move to someplace that's not prone to hurricanes. ^_-;;

I am. After all, 12 years ago, they said Andrew was headed straight for us and it missed. I feel extremely lucky.

Man, and that's one they still talk about. o_O I don't know how you people can put up with something like that... (I'd have headed for the hills long before!)

I'm sorry you're facing something so scary, I'll be thinking of you.

(And you make a cute little fangirl...)

Love you.

Still hoping for it to pass you by. :/ Good luck! (And please tell me you have insurance . . . I tend to assume people do, but my sister didn't once. -_-)

*sigh* I wish. Too broke. We've survived hurricanes before relatively unscathed. If the worst that happens is that we'll be without power, I can live with it. I won't be happy, but I can live with it.

Ahh . . . right, I've heard about US insurance prices. >.<

No power isn't too bad, esp. in summer. Good excuse for candles and acoustic music. ^_^ *optimism!*
