Getting off early is so nice! The only drawback would be not getting paid for it. As it is, my next paycheck will be a little slim, since I have two non-paid Holidays and three days of early releases. *sigh*
Mom is all vehicled again. Yay! She wants to got tomorrow and get some new floor mats so that the inside of "Hank" doesn't get dirty. Hank is the car, BTW. He's a 2002 Kia Sportage. He's pretty nice lil car. Bigger than her previous one and he even has a CD player! Nifty!
My tendon didn't bother me today, so that was nice. I think it helped that I was wearing slip-on shoes with no backs, so there was no rubbing involved (man, that sounded dirty).
I got paid today, so I'll have some money for when I meet up with Mona (as well as for other things). I went to the bank today and tried to deposit my check only to discover that it was in fact my pay stub. It seems my direct deposit has started... *facepalm*
I was surfing around in Wikipedia when I found an interesting article on my fave Saiyuki boy, Hakkai. It's pretty detailed, actually. Man, I could get lost in Wikipedia...

Trivia of the day: In many countries, it is the custom to wish friends a "Happy Birthday" on January 1st, rather than a "Happy New Year." This day is nicknamed "Everyman's Birthday," and is considered the day when everyone becomes a year older, whether it's their actual day of birth or not. Similarly, this practice is observed in horse racing.
