snapdragon76: this is made of win and awesome (Alucardracula)
Well, today I'm feeling much better. I came home again early yesterday because the cold was beating the crap out of me. Today I stayed until I finished my work, so that was something I must say.

Mom just said, "One of these days, you'll get a whole day in." I'm like, OK whatever. I stay as long as there's still stuff to do. If not, I leave. Too many times I've sat around for hours not doing anything. It's a waste.

Yesterday the servers for LJ had a blackout problem. This just tells you that I have no life when that's the main reason I even go online... so I have the rest of my FL to read through yet.

I finally got my hands on a copy of Hellsing 8. And I must say, Beardcard is extremely smexy... *rawr*

Guess who got to go home early yesterday? Me! Yup, I left at about 11:30. Now it's not something that happens regularly, but due to the fact that I didn't have any of my fee tickets come in, nor any workers comp checks, there wasn't anything for me to do. I did post some family practice ones, but there weren't very many of them, so I finished early and was allowed to go home.

I swung by the bookstore first to see if I could find an early released copy of Hellsing 8, but no such luck.

Next was Best Buy to price Wii's. Oddly enough, they were out. Wii's must be popular, because I saw a few PlayStations, but the shelf where the Wii's were was empty. Hmmm.

Then I stopped by Whattaburger for lunch. I thought I'd save some time by going inside. I think it was a toss-up, really. It was kinda busy.

I had planned on maybe doing a little bit of cleaning when I got home, but I got waylaid by a migraine and didn't get it done.

I also watched The Incredible Melting Man on YouTube. It was a good ep, with lots of great riffs. It was kinda disgusting, though. Rick Baker did the make-up effects, so it was pretty gruesome.

Today, are plans are pretty simple: not much of anything. I plan on watching more MST episodes and later on, mom and I plan to watch a movie. That pretty much sums it up. We're gonna be hermits. I doubt there's gonna be fireworks since it's supposed to rain tonight.

I went to the License Bureau earlier today. I thought I'd be there until doomsday, but I was lucky enough not to have to wait too long. I also went to the library to turn in my book.

I pre-ordered Furuba 11, 12, and 13. I'll probably get 11 relatively soon, like within the next few weeks. Tokyopop says 12 isn't coming out until December. Yeah, it's a mite disappointing, but it's just as well fundage wise. I also checked to see when TriMax 6 is coming out and it's coming out August 3rd. I think I pre-ordered it, but I don't remember exactly. Hellsing 7 is coming out in October, so I'll wait awhile before pre-ordering it. It's just as well since that volume is totally gonna kill me emotionally.

I have to get the kitty carriers down for the kids' trip to the vet later on today. I know they're just gonna be so thrilled.

Maybe I'll get around to scanning that article and upload it onto YouSendIt or something like that. It's only two pages, so it shouldn't take too long.

OK I'm super-pissed at my computer right now. Why, you ask? Because not only is it being super slow, but my cable modem is causing problems...again!!! I pay a fair amount of money for DSL so I don't get disconnected and have super slow download times. And yet, what is my cable modem doing? Disconnecting me and giving me super slow download time!!!!!!! Argh! Sometimes I feel like ripping it out of the wall and throwing it across the room. The only thing that stops me is the fact that I'd have to pay to have it replaced and not having internet for a while. Do I have anger issues? YOU BET YOUR ASS I DO!!!!!! Particularly if it has to do with something that frustrates me to no end. AND on top of everything else, I keep getting those damn pop-up ads!!! Death to the one who came up with those!!!

On another note, I want to see Hellboy sometime this week. It looks pretty good. Also, I bought the Hellsing manga Friday. For my comments on that, see my post on the [livejournal.com profile] hellsing community. Now, I'm going to go to the dark place and scream my lungs out.
