snapdragon76Well, went to the doctor's today and picked up three prescriptions for two anti-anxiety meds and an anti inflammatory. The anti-inflammatory is for my tendinitis in my right foot. I also have medical permission to wear sneakers to work. Our dress code doesn't usually allow it, unless there is a doctor's note saying you can. However my doctor had the brilliant notion of only suggesting JUST for my right foot. He expects me to wear a sneaker on my right foot and a regular shoe on my left. No frickin' way. I'm not going to wear two different kinds of shoes and look like a total dumbass. Two sneakers, thank you. I'm not going to walk around looking like some moron who doesn't know how to dress themselves...
It's been a mite chilly here of late. Well, chilly for us any way. Mom is happy because we can comfortably open the windows and not run the A/C as much, which in turn saves power. However, it was slightly less than pleasant when we had a photo shoot for some friends of ours' engagement photos (which turned out fab, BTW). Plus, it was on the beach, which tends to be chillier than most other places due to no building blocking the wind. On top of that, we had to get up at the ass crack of dawn on Sunday in order to catch the sunrise. The pancakes afterward were worth it though.
Had a little incident with the cable modem last night. I was watching CSI and my picture went black. I initially thought it was a power hiccup (which has happened before), so I waited a few. Nothing. I checked the living room TV, and it still had a picture. Then I noticed the cable modem blinking erratically. Our digital phone was dead as well. I tried resetting the modem to no avail. By this time I had to go to bed, so I quit messing with it and did so. In the morning, I told mom what was going on and she had to call the cable company via her cell phone. I hate doing it myself because they have this stupid vocal phone menu that you have to use. For someone like me with a hoarse voice, it's torture.
The lady on the other end went through all sorts of steps in trying to get the cable box reset, but it was being stubborn and wouldn't do it. So they transferred her to another guy to try and work out the modem issue. He told her it might have something to do with the triple splitter we have connecting my computer and my television to the modem. But we couldn't wait around and find out since we both had to get ready for work. We decided to call back once we got home.
Turns out, we didn't have to bother. When I got home this evening, it was fixed. I don't know if it resolved itself or someone at the cable place did it remotely or not. But hey! I have my internet and television back! Yay!!!
Tomorrow we have people from the apartment complex doing an inspection of the appliances and such to make sure things are working as they should I guess, so mom is frantic trying to pick up the place a little. She doesn't want people to think we're slobs or anything. I somehow don't think they're going to care. Besides, we aren't. We're just lived in...
