What is it with people today?! Like those murders over in Deltona. Those people were beaten beyond recognition over what... an X-Box and some clothes. Those six people (and a dog) were beaten bloody because they borrowed this guy's X-Box and hadn't returned it yet. We as a society are going to Hell in a handbasket. I weep for the future.

On a (somewhat) lighter note, I signed up to be Cheza on the [livejournal.com profile] rpgwolfsrain community. It'll be a bit of a challenge, but maybe I can pull it off.

Quote of the day: Mark the corners by driving stakes into the ground, using a No. 6 Whacking Hammer. If you hear screaming, you have lawn vampires, and you should call your Realtor immediately.

I heard that on the radio yesterday. It's just awful! (And people say video games don't cause violence...) The problem is that our priorities are totally skewed these days. and they're only bound to get worse, the way things are going... (Doesn't mean I'm not going to fight it tooth and nail myself!)

Tell me about it. The ringleader was an ex-con who hadn't been out of prison very long anyway. THe three others were seriously misguided kids who got involved in the wrong crowd. I still don't think the authorities have even identified the sixth body yet.

*shudder* It's just so horribly wrong... Of all the things to kill people over, it's over a stupid possession... (And a relatively cheap one at that!) They need to lock the guy up and throw away the key, and give those kids some major counselling.

I think there's talk of the death penalty for all four of them.

Were they all 18 then? I heard something to that extent, but the radio was kind of garbled. It's always sad when it comes to that, but it's really hard to decide to let them rot in jail for the rest of their lives, too. Why do people decide to do bad things when the end result is almost always the same? DId they really think they'd get away with murder? -_-

Yes, they were all over 18. Some of them had even gone to school with the victims.
