snapdragon76: this is made of win and awesome (Default)
Well, I saw the first DVD of "Slayers NEXT." Awesome. I think the animation is a bit better in this one. I really liked episode six when Martina was all obsessive. *snerk* Zel was cutting his hair with wire cutters and comments, "I have split ends?" Cute. I do see the point how people get annoyed with Xellos' English voice. He's not around too much so I can deal with it.

OK, people on the [livejournal.com profile] fruits_basket community were all up in arms about wether or not Haru is gay. I personally don't think he is, but I wasn't about to dip my toe into all that. Me, I think people will think what they want to about a certain character, even if it's supported or not supported by canon. I mean, lighten up, people! THEY'RE NOT REAL!!!!

Well, I must go eat and get my blood work done. I know, I said I was going to do it Friday, but I didn't. Big deal.

I can go either way with subs and dubs, depending on how good the acting is. (I originally believed my sub-loving friends though, and wouldn't watch dubs. Thank goodness for Pokmon...) I have watched the dub before with the subtitles on, because yes, there are some differences even with that. I'll probably end up watching the sub again after I finish off TRY, but that's because I love the Japanese cast so! ^_^;;

I suppose that's the nice thing about owning DVDs. Best investment I ever made. (Now I shan't go insane while I'm penniless!) I guess all you can do now is watch those two DVDs so you can get more! ^_-

I'm glad you're taking care of yourself. One of my brothers has a friend with Crohn's, but he didn't want to acknowledge it until it was nearly too late. He had most of his intestines removed to save his life... o_O 'Tis far better to have to have checkups every 6 months than to risk losing your life. And after a while, it becomes so routine anyway. (I have weak teeth and always had cavities growing up, so I no longer fear the dentist's needle.) ^_-;; Hang in there!

Actually it's not so bad. I have Crohn's colitis and it's a less severe form of full-on Crohn's. Whether it worsens as time goes, I don't know. Only time will tell, I guess.
