Well, I stayed home from work today due to intense stomach cramps and the resulting insomnia. Everything is cool now though. Today was supposed to be picture retake for the MANDATORY meeting next week. Oh well. Not like I planned to get stomach cramps. I just hope my boss isn't pissed or anything because I missed today. All I care about is being able to have my one day I need for when and friend and I go to Savannah at the end of October. I should be able to though since I rarely miss days as it is.

In the meantime, I've been catching up on the episodes of True Blood I've been recording. All three of them. I wasn't able to watch it before since I didn't have HBO in my bedroom and I couldn't record it in the living room because I doubt my mom would like all the language and nekkid people. Me, I've seen boobs before (mostly due to owning a set), so that doesn't really bother me. The F word could probably be used a weeee bit less, but it's cable so they always have to push the envelope. Anna Paquin does a good job portraying Sookie, but a part of me will always see her as Rogue from the X-Men films, so when I watch the show, my brain wants to go, "Why is Rogue flashing her boobs all of a sudden?" Anyway... Jason's pretty, isn't he? But kinda dumb.

I set up Skype on my desktop now as well. I do need to invest in a decent headset though since I apparently have no microphone. It's hard enough for people to hear me as it is... And on here it allowed me to import my Yahoo contact list, yet on my Mac I couldn't. I don't know why. There's still a lot I don't know about how Macs work...

The car sitch: right now they are at a garage being looked at. How long they will remain there depends on how much it costs to fix them and how soon we can come up with the money. But maybe we'll finally get some answers at long last. Hopefully...

Caught up on the newest chapters of Hoshi wa Utau yesterday. I certainly hope someone like Tokyopop picks it up to translate officially. I mean, due to the popularity of Furuba, you think they would. I guess we'll see.

Well, I'm kinda tired, so I think I'm gonna lie down for a little while.

Oh, cool, you've been watching True Blood? Are you on the second season or the first? I can't believe there are only two episodes left of the second season; it feels like it just started yesterday.

I recently developed a fondness for Hoshi wa Utau and went back and re-read the whole series. I like it a lot, and right now Takaya's doing a lot of Kanade-related material, which I'm excited to see translations/scanlations for, since he's probably my favorite character. I also hope it gets picked up by one of the domestic manga companies.

Yeah, Kanade is definitely very interesting. I hope we get more details about his background. But I think Chihiro is beginning to grow on me a bit more...

Eric is probably my favorite character in the books. In the series, the characters are starting to diverge from the book canon, but I like where Eric's character went this season. I'm looking forward to the rest of the season and (hopefully) the third season. ^^

Chihiro did grow on me as well, which I'm glad, since he's, like, the major male character.

So are the books good? The series has piqued my interest in the series itself and I wanna know how they are...

The books are pretty good. Sometimes I wish the author was more generous with her descriptions, but I enjoyed pretty much all of them. I'd say give the first novel, Dead Until Dark, a try to see if you like it. ^^

Yay! I'm hoping they make it at least to the fourth season, because if they follow the book that corresponds with the season... fwee~
