snapdragon76: Did I mention that I like reading? (books)
We met with our friend the other day and it went well. There were no discussions of politics or religion or anything. It was all neutral, mostly about gardening and outdoorsy stuff and a little about animals. We had a nice little picnic. The picnic area that was attached to the park was filled with school kids doing an Easter egg hunt, so we found another place to eat, which was nice. Then mom and I ran some errands since we were in the area and then went home.

I made me a pros and cons list in regards to going overseas to an International School. It’s pretty even so far. This is what I have:

Pros:
- Travel
- Meet new people
- Steady job for at least two years
- New places
- New opportunities
- Outside of comfort zone

Cons:
- No cats
- Miss friends and family
- Expenses
- Living alone
- Language barrier
- Outside of comfort zone

I’ve been doing a lot of thinking. It’s still something I’m seriously considering, because when else am I going to have an opportunity to go overseas and have a job that I’d be familiar-ish with. I’m leaning for somewhere in the UK, since there wouldn’t be as much of a language barrier. Other places I’d like to go to are maybe Paris, Amsterdam or Tokyo. Nothing is guaranteed or anything, I just hope I don’t end up somewhere with unbearable heat all year ‘round. There are some more local areas that I’d be interested in, like here or Gatlinburg or Asheville thereabouts. I have awhile yet before I get certified to really decide on anything. Some prayers and positive thoughts would be a little appreciated though…
