snapdragon76Hello all! Time for another update.
Mom is still unemployed. She’s looking into applying for Unemployment Benefits, so that might help us out a little. I know mom is reluctant to find a job where she doesn’t really feel satisfied, but she might not have much choice. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what happens next. Right now she’s been trying to finish a few projects around the house to keep herself busy. I think maybe she needs to volunteer again somewhere in the meantime. I think maybe one the Fourth of July is over, she might look into it more.
Starting tomorrow I have to do my ‘colonoscopy cleanse’ for my procedure on Wednesday. The morning isn’t so bad, it’s the taking of the liquid prep that’s the nasty part. And what follows isn’t so fun either. But, it’s only once a year (usually). I missed last year due to moving and transitioning to a new area as well as not having established with a GI at that point. I’ve been lucky that I haven’t had any flare ups or anything so far, despite being off of my Remicade for over a year. That’s one reason I’m having my colonoscopy done, to see what my colon is looking like and to determine if they want me to go back on Remicade. I’ll try not to be too grumpy tomorrow…
We’ve been having a lot of birds at our feeder in the front of our house recently. There have been finches, cardinals, blue jays, mourning doves and a couple of very fat squirrels…

Best we can determine, these are Purple Finches.
I filled out my FAFSA for the 2014-2015 school year. Hopefully, I’ll hear back soon and be able to get a loan so I can pay for my classes and maybe have extra for other expenses like books, supplies and maybe I can get my car tuned up. Since the GA job doesn’t look promising, this is my only option right now. It might take me until I retire to pay it back, but so do most grad students in the rest of the country. I hope I can find a job soon after graduation so I can pay it back fairly soon. But, that’s gonna be a few years from now at least.
That’s all that’s been going on lately. I’ll try not to wait too long between updates, but things are kinda slow right now.
