Three Cheers for Little Girl Spock

Remember the little Star Wars fan who got made fun of by her classmates? Well, I guess it’s another fandom’s turn because some people didn’t have much appreciation for a little girl being Spock. Partly because Spock isn’t a girl. How silly.

Aw, now that is a sweet story about the Star Wars fan... ^_^ I'm glad these two little girls seem to have supportive parents at the least.

When I was a kid, I wasn't exactly teased for liking weird things but I know people thought I was weird. While everyone else was into the latest boy bands or TV shows, my favorite thing in the whole world was Billy Joel, and I remember getting ribbing for that. No other kids even knew who Billy Joel was! Plus I was always a Star Wars fan, and after a while, that was just my thing. Other kids thought it was weird, but somehow because older kids and adults thought it was cool, I didn't mind so much. And I guess I turned out OK. ...I think. *LOL*

When I was a kid, I liked both both boy stuff and girly stuff. I would make mud pies and play with G.I. Joes and also play with Barbies and My Little Ponies. I was a conundrum, lol.

I was never all that into Sci-Fi and Star Wars and Star Trek when I was little, mostly because I hadn't really been exposed to it. It wasn't until I was older that I started getting into that sort of thing.
