snapdragon76Evening strangers! LOL! Yes, I know. I kept saying I would update more and I didn't. I suck. I haven't even been reading my FL either... Mostly because of laziness and partially because I was sucked into reading Black Butler. It has sucked me in something wicked. It's a good read though.
Anyhoo, mom and I were thisclose to sabotaging our A/C unit because it wasn't cooling the place like it was supposed to. It's old and shitty and it needs replaced ideally, but our apartment complex isn't going to do it unless it breaks down entirely. Annnnd, it's starting to warm up a lot more and thus it would be a bad time to give up the ghost. Turns out this time it was a burned out fan which was replaced and it started working like it was supposed to again much to my relief. I dunno about the rest of you, but showering in this kind of weather is not fun at all...
Work is ok. I was on vacation two weeks ago, so the majority of last week was spent catching up with what was left behind. I also have to post for my friend and co-worker who is out for an indefinite period of time due to a medical condition which she hopes to get straightened out. Unfortunately, it most likely means she'll be out of the office for several months due to surgery and recovery. It's not looking promising for a return. Which sucks because she's the only person I really get along with the most. It makes going to work a bit easier to bear. I know she has no control over medical goings on and such. It still sucks.
I did put in for a transfer to the coding department. I hope it comes through. Not that there is anything inherently wrong with what I do now, but I want to try to advance a little maybe. I figure if I can get in as an assistant coder, which doesn't need certification, I can eventually become certified and perhaps be able to find a job with more ease somewhere else... like say, Tennessee.

umadoshi helped put together (nice job, BTW Ysa) and it makes me want to reread the entire series over again. I may have to do that... after I work through the backlog of books I have in my "queue." Ahhh, such is the burden of a bibliophile.
