snapdragon76: this is made of win and awesome (Nite Owl & Silk Spectre)
Today was a so-so day. My boss was wanting me to work on Saturday because it's the EOM and the more people the merrier. I told her I wasn't able to do it because we'd already made plans (months ago). She e-mailed me back saying that while she was going to let is slide this time, that there was an agreement when I was hired that I would be available to work on some Saturdays. Now, I totally know this and it's not as though I ordinarily WOULDN'T work on a Saturday (even though I don't particularly like to), I just couldn't THIS Saturday because I'd long since made plans and since it involves something that can't be rescheduled, I'm pretty much committed. Besides, even if I did say mom could do it without me, since it involves going out of town, I'd be stuck without wheels and unable to come in anyway. I think my boss is kinda stressed anyway since her mom is in the hospital and very very ill. I think I'll wait and ask for those two days off in April a wee bit later...

This weekend was fun though. Mom and I went to the Annie Liebovitz exhibit at our local art museum. It was a very nice little exhibit. I like her stuff anyway... After that, we went to get our hair cut. She got a perm (which I myself was never a fan of) and I got mine cut pretty short. I posted the pictures on here on Saturday. It takes a bit getting used to, though... My favorite part though is tying it back in two wee little pig tails to get what there is of it off of my neck.

Then came the grocery shopping. Non eventful. We had a lot to get though, so it took awhile. When we got home, we ate and popped in a movie that mom got from Netflix. Sneakers. One of River's last roles. I love this movie... Shower was short since I didn't have as much hair to wash...

Sunday was church then home. I was wanting to record more of the stuff I have on my computer onto DVD's to free up some more space, but I was wiped and didn't feel like messing around with it. Maybe next weekend, if I get a chance. Doubtful.

I did watch the Oscars last night. Slumdog Millionaire won by landslide. It took home a lot of awards. Not as many as Titanic the one year, but pretty damn close. WALL-E won Best Animated Feature, which I was happy about.

Best comment of the night: Natalie Portman to Ben Stiller who was channeling Joaquin Phoenix's bizarre appearance on David Letterman, "You look like you work for an Hasidic meth lab." ROFL!!

I'm glad you had a good time with your mom.

I never had a perm either because I have curly hair. I guess I'm lucky!

Yep, we do most of the time.

Well, since neither mom nor I have naturally curly hair, in order to get some body in it, perm we must! I however have had more than my fair share and enough is enough!

Joaquin Phoenix was really weird on Letterman that night. I saw a clip of it on youtube and was like "Wtf is this @$$hole doing?" o__O?? So yeah, Stiller and Portman made really good use of that incident. *lol*

I've been wanting to see Slumdog Millionaire sine last year. My friend from Pakistan ranted and raved about it to me for months, so I figured that it was worth watching. But at the time, it was only showing in India and England :/

I used to have a bit of a crush on him too. What a shame and what a waste of talent.

Well, I have a feeling it'll get a much larger release now...
