I'm excited about the fact that I lived to witness something as ground-breaking as this. But admittedly, I'm still little scared. This is probably a direct result of my having been politically traumatized for the last 8 years. *sigh* I really hope that Obama does this country justice. Heaven knows we've needed it for a while now...well, that and a couple thousand prayers ^__^'
I know that it takes time. Actually, I tried explaining that to quite a few people at work yesterday (and they're still not hearing me ^__^'). But for some strange reason, they think that Obama is obligated to get in there and start working miracles right off the bat. But yeah, I can't help being a little scared. I do have faith though ^^
After years of doing so many things wrong, we finally did something right. Those of you too young to remember JFK now have a chance to experience that sense of hopeful exuberance that flavored the 1960's. President Obama will need all of us, each and every one, to pull together and lead this country to its destiny. May God bless him.
I think most will. Right wing pundits will jump all over him the moment something doesn't happen when he promised it would, but that's politics as usual. He has a lot to accomplish and it will prove to be far more difficult than he imagined.
