snapdragon76I came home early today because 1) i had more than enough hours where I could and our company is cracking down on overtime and 2) mom also had too many hours and since I had the car today, I had to pick her up.
I narrowly averted a crisis today. When I was at work, I was washing my hands after using the bathroom and I was taking my rings off and one of them slipped through my fingers and bounced off the counter and straight down into the drain. I freaked a little bit, but then I told my supervisor and she contacted maintenance and they came and was able to fetch it for me, so I was very grateful.
I received my Japanese wind chime yesterday, so now I have it hanging above my desk. It's very cute! I took a picture that I plan to post sometime...
My friend Michele is trying to set me up with her roommate. I mean, I have seen him at the birthday party from a week ago and he does seem nice and is pretty cute looking and we do have a bit in common. I've just been single for over thirty years and kinda wasn't even looking anymore and I'm pretty set in my ways. Oh well. We have a movie night next week, so maybe it won't be too bad.
I'm going to change out some of my icons. I thought I'd reduce my icons to two or three per fandom and then have some non-fandom ones in there somewhere, if possible.
