snapdragon76Well, that was interesting. We had a power glitch and I lost my post...
Saturday was the first day I set foot outside of my house for two and a half days. The world has changed significantly changed since I've been on the inside. Is there still laughter?
I did go to Old Navy to pick up some shorts. They carry those longer ones instead of just the booty shorts that no one on God's green Earth would get me to wear. I also picked up a Mother's Day card.
When I was in the fitting room, mom called me and we talked a bit, which seemed somewhat absurd to me to be talking to my mother in a fitting room standing in my underwear. Anyway, I told her I was planning on going to a movie and she wanted to go with. So I had to drive back home (after paying for my stuff, of course) so we could go together. We went to see Iron Man BTW, which is very good. I'd rec it. The previews were pretty good, too. We saw the one for the new Adam Sandler movie. Normally I'm not a fan of his (except for The Wedding Singer. Spanglish wasn't too bad either), this looked really funny. I also saw the trailer for The Dark Knight. I swear I came during it... Christian Bale being a factor. I also saw the Indy trailer.
We went to get groceries mom decided to take a detour through the local wetlands in order to take pictures. I slept... sort of. When we got home, we ordered pizza (rare for us due to mom's wheat allergy) and watched 27 Dresses, which was very cute.
I also found out some disappointing news in regards to the final Legacy of the Force series Invincible:
Well Jacen gets axed. I'm pretty pissed about it. I mean, strip him of the Force, exile him, imprison him... SOMETHING! No need to kill him! So long Solo name, so long last remaining Solo son. This is worse than when I found out my dear sweet Jacen fell to the Dark Side.
And just as bad is the fact that Zekk is MIA!! I mean, what a waste of a great character who had so much unrealized potential in order to come into his own as something other than a potential love interest for Jaina. Heather, I'm counting on you to provide me with fic to get me through these dark times...
And in a very squicky moment, Tahiri is shown practically molesting Ben to get information from him... ewwwww.
Even though I was out of work for a few days, I didn't have a whole lot to catch up on, which was a relief. I was a mite worried about that.
And I've been having waaaaaay too much fun playing with Google Earth. I've been looking up the addresses of different people I know and looking at their houses via satellite pictures.

I'm definitely going to see Iron Man. My father is a comic book head from waaaaaaaay back. His birthday was yesterday, so we're (my sister and I) taking him to see it for a belated birthday gift.
And yes, the world has changed significantly over the past few days. People have become much crappier...
