snapdragon76: this is made of win and awesome (Evil Snacks)
I heard through the grapevine that the Sunday evening discussion group we attend (headed by our former Worship Minister and his wife) is considered, by the higher ups in our church, to be subversive. High Five! The church I attend was "bought out" by a church in Oviedo due to financial difficulties and the staff let go. Anyway, the staff at the main branch don't think that the gathering we have are in sync with the regular doctrine of the church. Now, since I go to both, I see no conflict of interest. At the Discussion group, right now we're watching a series of DVD's called Nooma. They're very fascinating and they definitely cause you to think and questions all you know or think you know about the way God works. They're not saying what the church is teaching is wrong (per se), it just causes you to reevaluate certain aspects of your faith. Apparently, that's considered subversive. Whoo-hoo! I've always kinda wanted to be a radical!

This weekend was uneventful. I spent most of Saturday at home, on my bed. I loaded Thunderbird on my laptop so I could check my regular mail. I probably could've used the mail program that came with it, but since I don't use Safari...

I watched movies mostly. The Aristocats, Pride and Prejudice (the BBC version), Galaxy Quest, 9 to 5, and Clue. I need to play my Wii again sometime. I haven't played it in so long...

I hope to be in Tennessee before the year is out. That is my goal. Hopefully, things will work out where we can. I'm not so worried about me finding a job. I can look for something when I get there. Mostly for mom so that we can have a starting off point where we can get settled. So, hopefully things will work out where we can. Plus, the cost of living there is a LOT less than here, that's for sure.

Work was meh today. I had a pretty bad emo moment, but I'll not get into it here.

Not necessarily "bought out," but taken over in a sense. They were willing to take over our debt and pay off our expenses. It's kinda complicated to go into detail and stuff. It was a lot of turmoil and sleepless nights and everything...

Thanks.

It'll be a while yet, though.

That's hopefully the plan. Mom and I have been discussing this for almost a year now and it's gotten me very excited. There's still a lot to be done yet, but hopefully it'll all come together for us.

Not to worry though, the nice thing about the Internet is that it's portable, so I'll be able to take all of you with me!!

Me too!
