Well, mom found out about the Tori concert before I had a chance to tell her. I was chatting with a girl that works with mom and who's also going to the concert. She then told mom about the fact that we were both going (more on that later) and mom was surprised. She then flagged me (which is a sort of IM system we use at work, only it's supposed to be just for work related stuff). She was all emo and saying stuff like, "We never talk anymore. Why didn't you tell me you were going to a concert?" I then explained to her that it wasn't a matter of me not WANTING to tell her, but trying to find the right WAY to tell her. Anyway, we smoothed things over and she's been trying to find a way for me to go with someone.
Which brings up another issue. The friend I mentioned earlier, well it turns out the friend she was originally planning to go with bailed on her and she doesn't have anyone to go with her. I said I'd go if she wanted me too. She said she thought about asking her best friend, but if that doesn't pan out, then she'd go with me. Mom was like, "Find out what seats she has and see if they're better than yours and try to upgrade." Well, I have seats in row R and she thinks hers are in row S, which is directly behind mine. So I may actually have the better seats... but not by much. I was looking at the floor plan of the venue, and we're sitting waaaaaay in the back of the auditorium. I mean, practically the last row back. Still, I reckon it's better than sitting in the upper tier where I'd only be able to see Tori on a screen. I was planning on bringing a camera since I heard Tori doesn't mind if people take pictures (no flash, though) but I'm not sure my lens would reach very close, even with my new camera. We'll see...
Even though the concert itself is a week and a half away, I've been listening to Tori a lot lately in order to get in the mindset. I bought a bunch of Cd's and was listening to them all day at work. I think I'll intersperse other artists between sets so I don't go on overload.
Mom wants to bring some food to a friend of ours who broke her leg in three places a few weeks ago. She has to stay off of it for eight weeks. What a bummer. It's on the third floor though, and the building doesn't have elevators. Mom has bad knees, so she may have to have me do it.
Tomorrow is my first appointment with the OB/GYN. I think it'll go well, it'll just be strange for me is all. Thank goodness the one examining me is a woman. It'll be awkward enough as it is.
Well, I need to take a shower and make sure I shave extra close...

When I've seen her, there are always the usual signs saying "no photography" etc., but people are always taking pics. Also happily, when I bought the Toronto show it came with a few high-quality images from the concert. ^^

Well, I may bring my smaller camera then. Not very good zoom, especially considering where I'll be sitting, but hopefully I can get a definitive Tori shaped blur sometime!

Enjoy the show anyway!

I did get to fondle a fake breast though, which was interesting!
