Today was a little weird. For starters, the Red Tide decided to pay me a visit yesterday... and today was high tide. I feel strange as it is during this time but today just seemed amplified for some reason.
It didn't help matters any that I was slammed at work today. I was kinda stressed about that as well. Ugh.
Mom was in kind of a pissy mood today. I think it had something to do with the fact that she asked for the biweekly check from me and I couldn't give it to her because I had run out of checks. I told her I still intended to giver her the money, but it would have to wait until I went to the bank after work and got some cash from the ATM. She then said that she hoped the rent check would clear for this month. *siiiigh* It's not like I intentionally forgot to order new checks, it's just that I never had a chance to. The bank is always closed by the time I get home from work. Besides, it's not like I don't have other stuff to occupy my thoughts aside from "get new checks."
We have a dead turtle in the lake nearby. It's practically nothing but a shell now. Mom says it smells like a dead body out there because of it. Well, yeah, of course it does! There's a dead body of a turtle out there!
Mama duck is still sittin' on her eggs. I wonder when they'll hatch?
I have no idea what this weekend will bring. I do know, there's no three day one waitin'...
Finally, a meme I shamelessly stole from
