snapdragon76: this is made of win and awesome (Aka no Ou -- blood splatter)
Well, the Red Tide has paid me a visit... along with cramps from hell. I swear, at some point today, I felt like curling up in a fetal position and rocking back and forth in my work chair. But, I took some Advil and after about an hour (an excruciating hour), it finally kicked in.

I tried some of my White Musk body wash last night. I really like that stuff. Mmmmmm... I might have to order me some more of it. I got it as part of a hostess gift.

The party went off very well. All of the guests were told (in secret) to bring a book from their shelves as gifts since the guest of honor is a bibliophile (more than me, I must say. She reads high-brow stuff. Me? Not so much). I had to buy the book I wanted to give her since my copy was personalized to me, but still I think she'll appreciate it. Someone gave her a huge copy of Les Miserables. That's heavy duty, both literally and figuratively. One book was a really neat one. It was a "Interactive Pop Up" book of Graceland. I flipped through it and it looked to be pretty cool.

Since we got home a mite late, I don't think I'll be able to read through all of my FL, but I'll catch up as much as I can tomorrow since I can stay up later.

And someone was able to upload the Nanne Gronvall song for me! Whoo!

And a thank you to all of my friends who left me a gift in my stocking!

So, as a parting gift of my own, I leave you with evidence of how much my friends are good to me.

Enjoy! I know I did...

Trivia of the day: Birds may travel great distances on their migrations. The Arctic Tern travels from the top of the world - the Arctic, to the bottom - the Antarctic, round trip in a single year - 25,000 miles in all!

I hope you're feeling better today.

Glad you had fun at the party. Books, books... Pop-up books are really pretty, too. We had a pop-up assignment in college, and it was really fun :-)

Yes, the second day is usually much better.

Books are always a good thing.
