FRIDAY!!!! *sings* Now, I have a totally new appreciation for Fridays...

We had to stop by a few places to pick up a few things. Mom wanted to get some Spelt flour so she can try to make some biscuits with it. We also picked up some of those yummy wheat-free oatmeal animal cookies. They'll most likely be gone within the week... Mom wanted to price some filing cabinets so she can put some of her genealogy stuff in it, but she hasn't found any she likes...

Afterwards we decided to eat at the local Japanese steakhouse (the very same one where [livejournal.com profile] toriru4ever, [livejournal.com profile] vanatom and I ate last summer). The show the chef does when he cooks is half the fun, I must say. T'was pretty good indeed.

Tomorrow I get to sleep in, and it will be bliss. Such bliss. And mom may have wrangled herself a ride into work! Whoo-hoo!

Oh, and I changed my default usericon. Darth Sexy himself. And no, I'm not yet tired of calling him that...

Trivia of the day: Astronaut and moon-walker James Irwin's NASA name tag, coated with lunar dust, sold at auction for $310,500. The cloth keepsake, a 6- by 12-inch rectangle, was cut from the insulated jacket worn by Irwin during the 1971 flight of Apollo 15. Lunar dust, which created a dark gray tint around the tag's edges, became embedded into the tag during three separate moonwalks Irwin took. His jacket and other equipment were left on the Moon to lighten the spacecraft’s load on the return trip home, but Irwin cut out and kept his NASA tag as a memento.
