snapdragon76: this is made of win and awesome (Everwood -- Ephram/Amy (yumerio))
Well, I got some minor house keeping chores done yesterday. Once we get rid of the boxes we have left (which are only a few, really), then I'll be able to do a major vacuuming job on the carpets. As it was, I Carpet Flick-ed.

Right now I'm waiting for a call back from the temp agency. They called yesterday and left a message at my old number, which was odd since I had given them my current number to contact me with. So I called back about a half and hour ago and left a message for the person I'm supposed to contact since they were tied up. I'll call again in a couple of hours if they don't call me. Man, this is frustrating. Plus, I have mom breathing down my neck about contacting them. *sigh*

We got some drawer thingys to put underneath the bathroom sinks so that we can get some of that stuff organized somewhat. That's something else I need to do today.

Last night was the finale for 'Everwood'.

I was pretty happy with how it ended. I mean, Ephram and Amy got back together again (which, the way it was done was really cute). Edna moved in with the Abbott's, since she was feeling lost after Irv died. The Abbott's came to be caretakers of a baby that one of Harold's patients left at his doorstep. Hannah decided not to go to Notre Dame, even though they gave her a full scholarship, so she could go to Colorado A&M with her friends. Jake found out that Nina still has feelings for Andy, and that Andy still has feelings for her, so he graciously bowed out (after a little confrontation though) and went onto L.A. on his own. Delia had her Bat Mitzvah (and also got her horse). Although Hannah and Bright didn't get back together, the possibilities in the future are most definitely there. And Andy gave the ring to Nina (after 'consulting' his wife) and she said yes.

So, I thought it was a very satisfying ending. I'm still disappointed that the show was canceled, but they went out with aplomb.

Well, I'm gonna peruse my FL, and then do what I need to do around the house today. One of these days, I'm gonna actually use the swimming pool around here.

Trivia of the day: In 1871, Albert Jones of New York City received a patent on "an improvement in paper for packing," or, corrugated paper.

I'm sorta curious how the temp angency works and what you think of dealing with them so far...I might like to try one myself.

Yeah, I am to. As it is, I have to go there in person so that I can change my address for their records. So maybe I can find out what's going on (I hope).

And good luck if you decide to do it.

Why thank you, darlin'!

Whoa! I was channeling Scarlett O'Hara there for a minute!
