God, I feel like such a bitch.

One of my friends on my FL, flamika has recently started to really get into 'Hot Gimmick.' She read volume 11 and had posted on her personal journal that she wanted to know how the series ended, specifically what happens to Shinogu. So I thought to myself "OK, since I know how it ends, and she said she wanted to know and since this is her personal journal, go ahead and tell her." So that's what I did, not thinking anything more of it.


Later on, as I was reading my replies, I got one from kawaiiayu telling how I had spoiled the ending of the series for her since she read it on the comments from flamika's journal. My first thought: "Oh shit." I sent a short reply, apologizing to her for it. Now that I think about it, I should've found a different way of revealing the ending to flamika.


So, kawaiiayu (and anyone else affected), my sincerest apologies. *bows humbly*

If it had been some other random person, I wouldn't be as bothered by it since I probably wouldn't hear from them again. I mean, I would've apologized of course, but then I would've let it go. But it was someone whom I'm friends with, it does bother me. I guess it's because I've never had an easy time making friends, so I want to treasure the ones I do have, so I'm paranoid about making even the slightest gaffe that might affect that.

On top of that, someone on my forum made a comment in regards to me that hurt my feelings. Apparently I had said something that he regarded as stupid and proceeded to tell me so. I then said that particular conversation was over and that I didn't appreciate being called dumb in any form. His response? "..." Whatever the hell he meant by that. With him, it's hard to tell. I mean, we've all had our share of disagreements on there, but we've pretty much gotten along pretty great... except for this guy. He always has to show up with this attitude of superiority all the time, like he's this super intelligent guy and the rest of us are complete idiots. Needless to say, he's rubbed a few of us the wrong way a number of times.


OK, rant is over.

We dropped off the majority of our stuff to storage yesterday, so the apartment is starting to look less crowded. There's still some stuff that needs to be done, but it'll get done eventually. Mom wants it done right away, but I told her this kind of thing takes time and she needs to be more patient.

We went to see 'Over the Hedge' yesterday. I highly recommend it. Very cute and very funny.

Trivia of the day: Cultured Christmas trees must be shaped as they grow to produce fuller foliage. To slow the upward growth and to encourage branching, they are hand-clipped in each spring. Trees grown in the wild have sparser branches, and are known in the industry as "Charlie Brown" trees.

Re: your friend. That's too bad, and it's great you apologized for it. But the post talked about the book right? In posts like that, even if they're spoiler-free, people generally know that there's no guarantee in the comments. So part of the onus is on her to avoid the comments if she wants to avoid spoilers, unless the post specifically asked people to remain spoiler-free.

Re: That guy on your forum. Ban him. Your forum, your choice to ban. If he's been as disrespectful as you say, next time he breaks a rule or is out of line, BUH-BYE! You don't have to put up with that crap, esp. when you put all that effort and time into running it.

No, the post was actually asking for spoilers which was why I went ahead and mentioned something.

I know it's not entirely my fault, but I still feel bad. Some people are major spoiler-phobes while others aren't. My one friend (who's entry I posted on), edited the post to mention the spoiler, but this was after my other one saw it already, so it was kinda after the fact.

I haven't heard anything more about the fallout, so I'm hoping for the best.

As to the guy, yeah I've considered banning him, but I waffle on and off about it. Maybe I should consult with some of the other mods on there before I decide to do anything.

I agree with the above comments. The spoilers might have made your friend angry, but you shouldn't feel too bad about it. I'm not really sure what was said, but if it were me I would have stopped midway through your comment if I really didn't want to know the ending. Besides, you apologized and you actually meant it. That's all that matters.

As far as that guy...people are @$$holes. *shrugs* What else can I say? If he pisses you off again then give him the boot. You shouldn't let some dude with a huge chip on his shoulder ruin it for everyone else. You're a great girl as far as I can tell and you totally don't deserve that crap. You remember the guy that I talked about on the Bleach forum don't you? Yeah babe, you and I...two peas in a pod. Please cheer up. Okay? You've been under enough stress lately....and I still love yah ^__~.

Anywho... 95% of the time I have no clue what "Mr. Higher and Mightier Than Thou" is talking about because I've ALWAYS simply tolerated him and usually DON'T read his posts. And I'm still trying to figure out his contribution to the forum... all things considered. And its not like we haven't tried to include him in our stories (since he won't sharding write his own!) but he writes himself out of them just as quickly. If I do find myself getting in a conversation with him and notice he's getting a bit "snarky" I drop the subject and ignore the rest of his posts on the subject... even if they ARE somewhat useful later on. And usually he ends up talking in circles and thus makes NO SENSE anywho.

Main point in long rambling reply... Try to not let him get to you, noda!

Yeah, me too. A lot of the time he speaks in riddles and innuendo it's hard to say what the hell he's talking about. Call him on t and he makes it seem like it should be soooo obvious. *mutters*

I know! That really annoys me is that he doesn't write any stories and hasn't since the new forum started!! He keeps giving all these excuses and everything, but I'm just like "Whatever." He doesn't really contribute anything useful except for some technical stuff (which is generally hard to understand to the technically illiterate such as myself). The only reason I made him a mod of the Character Profiles thread is that he seems to be knowledgeable about various characters and stuff.

If it gets to be too bad, I may have to consult with you and Stampers about taking drastic measures, no matter how reluctant I may be to take them. Even Ray has mentioned something about it in a PM she sent me...

Also, don't feel bad about revealing the ending of "Hot Gimmeck". Kawaiiayu flat out ASKED in her journal if anyone knew the ending and to please tell her. Flamika didn't have to read it knowing that she asked and knowing that the ending would most likely be revealed in the comments section.

It should be on her head about reading it, she shouldn't have complained to you about it. She MADE the choice to read it, so it's her fault.

That's why I get so upset with people who bitch about spoilers in personal journals. If you don't want to know, then DON'T read it. /rant
