As Spring Break comes to a close, I get ready to start again on my classes. So far I’m doing fairly well, I just need to remember to make sure I respond to my peers in some of my classes so it doesn’t count against me. Sometimes I get a little ahead of myself and forget to do it.
I have a meeting with my advisor next Friday to discuss what I need to do before I graduate in December. I just want to make sure I have all of my I’s dotted and my T’s crossed before I head towards my next semester. The last day of classes is the 30th of April, which will be here before I know it with finals looming not long afterwards. I have to register for the Praxis sometime before I graduate, either this summer or in the fall. I’m not looking forward to it since it’s important in that I need it to be certified and I don’t do well on exams. I barely passed my GRE. I have a study guide and the amount of mathematics in it is frightening. I dunno if I’ll get any consideration due to my learning disability or not. I need to make a list of things to bring up with my meeting with my advisor and that will probably go on it.
I had a wee bit of a scare today. It’s been raining pretty steadily all day today and I had to go to my Allergist for my regular Allergy shot. I was driving along when at one of the intersections, a lady decided rather abruptly that she needed to get into the other lane. I had to hit my brakes pretty hard and since the road was slick due to the rain, I bumped into her. We pulled over to assess any damages, which there were none to be had, really. It was a hard tap mostly, with barely even any scratches. It still freaked me out, though. She was nice about it and said that since there wasn’t any damage to either of our cars and that no one was hurt, we’d just let it go and continue on our separate ways. She did say she was just as much to blame for pulling out in front of me rather suddenly. I was just glad there wasn’t anything worse that happened.
The weather is staring to warm up some. I was actually able to wear shorts outside yesterday. Grated I was in grungy clothes since we were cleaning the house, but I was still able to go and get the mail without freezing. I had to wear jeans today though since it was a little cooler with the rain and all.
One of our local friends contacted mom about meeting up some time since we hadn’t seen each other for quite a while. I don’t know when exactly, but I’m going to be a bit guarded since she’s the one I’ve had a few disagreements with in the past. We’ll see how things go.
I’m brushing up on my French via the website Duolingo. I figure it couldn’t hurt any. It won’t hurt my chances any if I do decide on going overseas. The more I think about it, the more and more appealing it’s starting to sound. Who knows where the wind will take me once I’m done with school…
