OK, one of the most surreal things happened to me last night... at least in my opinion.
At 10:30 last night, my friend Emilie called me and wanted to know if i wanted to go and hang out with her and her friend at a bonfire. At first I was all, "Umm, at this hour? During the week?"
But she kept wearing me down and she is the type that it's very hard to say no to. So I got dressed and went to meet her and her friend at 7-11. She said she wanted me along because this one friend of her friend (Andrew) Was going to be a third wheel in the little group. They were saying how much he (Nathan) had so much in common with me. Meanwhile I'm thinking, "Great. A set-up. THOSE always work out SO well..."
So we drove down the street from the 7-11 and we pull into a driveway that I was familiar with. I was thinking, "Holy crap! This is my pastor's house!!"
We pulled in and I was freaking out, I was all, "Dude! This is my pastor's house!! Was his SON who you were talking about?!?!?"
This was such a six degrees of separation kind of thing. I mean, I know Emilie because I work with her mom. Who knew that work and church would collide in such a way!
Freaky!
... or maybe it just is for me.
