Geez, one of these days, I'd like to have a Wednesday where I'm not going anywhere and I can just veg. Not even get out of my pajamas.
Well, yesterday was... interesting. I got a phone call from my supervisor. It seems someone narced on me and told her that I was using a chair to go in and out of the aisles when I was filing. Now, the section I do the most filing is in in Dermatology, which has a lot of charts even if they are fairly thin ones since its a specialty. So it takes me some time to get everything filed away. Not just charts, but documents that go into charts and pulling charts for appointments. Anyway, I was using an office chair while I do it since I can't stand on my feet for long periods of time since my back starts to hurt and I'm in a bit of pain by the end of the day.
Anyway, my supervisor called and told me not to use a chair anymore to go up and down the aisles anymore due to "safety issues." Now, even though I listen to my iPod when I work, I still make sure I paid attention to where I was going so I wouldn't run into anyone. I just don't understand anything anymore. It seems no matter what I do, I can't please that woman. First, I'm taken off of scanning, which I liked and was pretty good at. Then, I was sent to a new location doing who knows what, now this. I explained it to mom who said they might be trying to get me to quit. Why, I have no idea. I'd figured they'd want to hang onto their good workers, which I am. What difference does it make how I do my job as long as I do it.
If nothing comes of the Data Entry position, I'm seriously gonna look elsewhere for employment. Not just for the crappy way I'm being treated, but because of the whole "not having insurance" issue. Mom said that may be the reason they're not willing to hire me on full time. She also said that Medical Records has a high turnaround rate. I can see why. Come to think of it, this started to get more intense when I handed in my application to the other position. Of course, I was never given an explanation why I was moved... *shifty eyes* They may want me to quit, but I'm not leaving unless it's on my own terms. I don't need this shit.
I am looking into other places to work, so hopefully I'll have options. In the meantime, I just need to hang in there.
Anyway, today was pretty productive. I went and got gas (at almost $3.00 a gallon. *fumes*). Then I went to Best Buy because I wanted to get a longer Ethernet cable. While I was there, I bought Dreamgirls and American Doll Posse. So far, I'm liking it. Keep in mind, this is the first time I've actually bought a Tori album. All the other music of hers I have I acquired from others... But since quite a few on my FL got it and liked it and I generally like her songs, I decided to go and get it myself. So far, so good. No one song has really struck me as a favorite in the same way as, say, "China" or "1,000 Oceans" has, but I tend to listen more and something will emerge. I do like "Big Wheel" though. Kinda whimsical.
Then I went to the bookstore and picked up a few magazines, mostly PhotoShop related. Maybe I can learn something... I also go the third and last "Keeper" book by Tanya Huff. More Dean!!
Then I ate lunch at my fave Chinese place (Oolong tea! mmmmm!) and then got my oil changed, which was my main purpose of going out today.
Then, I stopped by the comic book shop. I heard Muse as I walked in the door and I gushed, being the good fan I am. I said, "OMG! Muse! I love them!" Then I got my Runaways digest and the newest Buffy. No next Legacy, though. Maybe next time.
I still have stuff I need to do yet. Better get that done. Then I might work some more on my MST3K transcripts...
Oh, and I'm sorry for my AIM cutting out on you
