Well, we got the tree down (finally). But boy, was it a lot of work. For one thing, we had it up so long that I forgot how to take it apart. At least it has the lights attached and we didn't have to mess with those. Anyway... Now comes the really unpleasant part...super cleaning!!!! I mean, we're not living in a pig sty by any means. Our house is just "lived in." We're going to borrow a rug shampooer from a friend and deep clean the floors in the living room and dining room. I mean we mostly just vacuum regularly, but this is the intense cleaning. Besides, when you have three cats, the floors tend to get really dirty really fast. Between cat hair and hair balls...ewww. Also I have to super clean my bathroom for "company." Usually it's just me that uses it and it's my grime which I can live with, because it's mine. Since we're going to have guests, I have to scrub the tub and the sink really good, and Wet Swiffer the floor. I generally do a deep cleaning at least twice a month, so it's not that bad. Whew, I'm gonna be tired by the time this week is over. Not only do I have to do the Super Cleaning, but I also have my volunteering this week. *dies*
This weekend, I watched Ghost and The Wedding Singer on TV. (OK, I only saw the end of Ghost...) I just love TWS because not only is it a sweet story, but I grew up during the 80's and I can relate to a bunch of the references used. I think it's the only Adam Sandler movie I can stand to watch, really. The ending of "Ghost" just kills me. I tear up nearly every time. *sniff*
