snapdragon76: this is made of win and awesome (Crow -- la la la (dirkdigital))
Hello everyone. Since I want to avoid trying to think of witty subject lines myself, I'm going to borrow, at least for this week, lines from people far wittier than me. Best Brains. To wit, Mystery Science Theater 3000, one of the best shows in existance. Ones I can't recall from memory, I'll use Wikiquotes for. This one in particular is from the episode 'The Incredibly Strange Creatures Who Stopped Living And Became Mixed-Up Zombies' or as it's affectionatly known, TISCWSLABMUZ. I shall try to have them relate to the subject matter of the actual posts themselves, but I make no guarantees.

Anyway, back to the matter at hand. This weekend (well, mainly Saturday) was spent trying to get my taxes in order. However, since I never got any W-2 from my employer, I couldn't send them until I get the tax ID number. So far, no number yet. I only hope my penalty isn't too severe. I already owe the IRS $96.00 and I really don't want to owe any more.

Saturday night was a study in insomnia due to hormones. That, plus the fact it was chilly at night, and mom turned the furnace on... which is right next to my room. So I heard that going most of the night. Also, my brain would not shut down for some reason. My body was tired, but I guess my brain was wanting to party because it just kept spinning in my skull (not literally of course. If that was the case, I'd have more problems than just lack of sleep). I admit to feeling like crying a few times, but I think that was partially due to hormones from the Red Tide (which came, just as I knew it would).

Yesterday was uneventful. I mean, I went to church and came home early since my Sunday School class was cancelled. So I stopped by the bookstore and picked up a few magazines. In the current issue of 'Anime Insider' there's an article on Furuba Horoscopes. Basically it was telling what lies in store for the characters in the next year without giving too much away. I can tell you right now, I know what was 'predicted' will definitely come true. At the end of the article, where they put who wrote it, there's generally a little blurb of some such. This one mentioned the difficult time the writer had in trying to keep the gender specific pronouns of one particular character neutral. I thought to myself, "I bet."

Mom's playing hooky today. She claims she has a stomach ailment, but I think she just mostly didn't feel like coming in today. *sighs* As long as she stays out of my hair, I don't really care.

I also made an icon featuring Sakuya and Kyoshiro from SDK. I think it turned out pretty good, myself.

I have no idea what my plans are for today. I think I'm gonna wing it and see how it goes.

Trivia of the day: A ball hitting the foul pole at Yankee Stadium in the 1930s was in play, not a homer.

Thanks. I slept pretty good last night, though. Except for having to randomly get up to use the bathroom due to the Red Tide...

MST3K is the best. A friend of mine introduced me to it last year... and I haven't seen any of it since, but what I have seen I really really liked! ^^

I hope you get some sleep and that the Red Tide doesn't wear you down too bad. *hugs*

I'll definitely have to check that out maybe sometime this weekend! *misses MST3K*

Che, I just got my Red Tide today... and realized I don't have any pads or anything like that. Lucky for me, my roomie had some. I'll have to go by them tomorrow. -_-

Yeah. I miss it too... But I have a few episodes on DVD and several on tape (which are in storage). Now I just need to see if I can download some so I can watch the seasons I missed before.

Boo! Hissss! I hope yours is a 'low tide.' And thank goodness for roomies!

I was hoping it was a low tide, too, but today in Japanese class, all I wanted to do was curl up in a corner and rock back and forth while clutching at my stomach. It was so bad, I was hoping that my sensei wouldn't call on me just because I was half paying attention and half in pain. -_-

Luckily, he didn't call on me! ^^

I'm somewhat lucky on the cramps front. They usually only last a day for me. I usually take Midol to ease the intensity of them, and it really helps a lot.

*hugs* When you get a chance, curl up in a warm blanket, get a heating pad out, and drink some nice warm tea...
