snapdragon76: this is made of win and awesome (NANA -- Nana K & Takumi (colorfilter))
Well, I was able to get the information I need for my taxes, so that's a huge weight off my shoulders, at least at this point. I still have to actually pay them now. I was able to find a free trial version of the Money program I needed. I don't need it permanantly, so the trial is good.

[livejournal.com profile] flamika, I got your necklace yesterday! I love it! Thank you! Expect a letter to come your way soon... as soon as I figure out where I stashed my address book. I'll probably send it to your school address, OK? My mom saw it (the necklace) and asked where I bought it.

Me: "I didn't buy it. A friend sent it to me."
Mom: "Which friend?"
Me: "One of my online friends."
Mom: "Which one?"
Me: "[[livejournal.com profile] flamika's real name]"
Mom: "Oh. OK. Which one sent you the tea set?"
Me: "No one. I bought that myself when I went to EPCOT."
Mom: "Oh, I remember now."

I felt like I was under the Spanish Inquisition or something. But I made it through unscathed. I guess she thinks I'll be kidnapped or something. She still doesn't know I went to meet [livejournal.com profile] toriru4ever and [livejournal.com profile] vanatom last year.

I have to take grandma to her volunteering thing at the nursing home. Then I have to buy a few groceries. Mostly chocolatey stuff. I'm really in the mood for chocolate. I think The Red Tide is on its way.

I watched 'Lost' last night and found out about Mr. Eko. Man, does he have a lot of guilt. I do admit to nearly crying close to the end, though. I'm not ashamed to admit it.

I need to put my sheets in the dryer, so I'm wrapping things up. Ciao.

Trivia of the day: Newly elected John F. Kennedy gave each his aides a PT-109 tie clasp, which became the highest status symbol of the New Frontier. Cufflinks and tie clasps are usually chosen as gifts by gubernatorial winners because of their high visibility when in public.

My dads like tht when I get stuff in the mail too. But now I get so much crap in the mail from people all over, he just gives up asking and just knows I "have friends all over". He seems content with that so far lol. (he did meet one of my online friends a few years ago, Linda, and he loves her to death, shes just so sweet.. so shes like family now lol)

Well, you've said he's waaaay protective of you. Probably because you're his only daughter.

My mom really liked the picture you drew of me last year that I had on my desk (currently in storage).

Ugh, taxes. I'll have to file mine soon as well... (I never have a program for my computer since most aren't Mac-compatible. You can get free forms online though.)

I am so glad one of my roommates mentioned a new episode of Lost was finally on. I had wondered why Mr. Eko has reacted so when he had killed some of the raiders that took the children, but now it makes sense. I'm really liking his character though. I love it when people that have been on the path of wrong seek to gain redemption as they return to the path of right. (One reason Zelgadis is an interesting character.)

*glares daggers at the IRS* Hopefully I'll never have to do this ever again.

Yes, I like Mr. Eko, too. But it probably also has to do with the fact I gravitate toward the angsty characters like nobody's business. I guess the profound guilt they feel makes me feel such profound empathy toward them.

Mom likes getting her tax refund as well. So I hear ya there.

At least it's in a public place. I mean, that way it's relatively safe. Although, I myself couldn't hurt a fly. Well, a fly I could, a person... not so much. Besides, I had fun with you guys!

I teared up during Lost too. :) It was awesome. Poor Eko. He has such gorgeous eyes... Le sigh.

Yes, he does. For some reason I seem to gravitate toward the angsty types. And practically everyone on that islad has buckets full of it...

And, did you know, that the actor who playes Mr. Eko, was in 'Mummy Returns?'
Date/Time: 2006-01-13 21:24 (UTC)Posted by: [identity profile] soleta-nf.livejournal.com
No I didn't. I haven't seen that movie. Maybe I should!

Yep. I think you'll be able to point him out.

I know. I mean, a little worrying is OK, but let's not go overboard with it...
