Mom's definitely feeling better today. She's up and doing stuff. She says it's because she wants to build up her strength so she can go back to work tomorrow. I'm not stoppin' her.

I found a picture of Dougan! I have an icon idea for him. I was really lucky since there are so few. I was even luckier since the one I found was manga style! Whoo!! So I shall be flogging my guts out in Photoshop later on today.

Mom told me yesterday that she hugged The Crush (heretofore to be known as The Object of my Affection or TOOMA, for short). I tried not to look too crushed, but I failed miserably. My cruel-hearted mother just laughed.

I think the next time I color my hair, I might go strawberry blonde. Just for a change. I'll have to consult with my stylist though before I actually do it.

I'm trying to find a time to sit and watch my last 'Saiyuki' disk. After that, I'm gonna be watching 'Slayers NEXT' again. I think 'Fuushigi Yugi' comes after that (forgive me if I spelled that wrong).

It's 'Fushigi Yuugi', or was until the professionals got a hold of it. Now it's 'Fushigi Yugi' with a stupid arrow above the u...to imply a long sound, or something. (I think it looks stupid, and when I see the title say "Yuhgi" just for spite.) ^_^; If you've never seen it before, prepare yourself for a major soap opera of an anime. (And if you watch the sub, expect to hear Zelgadis and Sylphiel!)

Its always been Yugi with the little line/arrow over the top... thats how its written in Japanese. But to write it out you can either put the two "u" like you perfer or a line to show that you drag the sound out longer. So technicaly either "Yuugi" or "Yugi" (with the little arrow/line) is correct.

At least I think that's the case... I'll have to go look at it later.

Yeah, but it's very hard to do the little accent mark when your keyboard doesn't really support it. I can go into 'Word' and so it, just not on here. So the double u it is!

My friends were into the series years before it ever got translated, and that's how I always saw it. *shrug* I've never seen a Japanese manga with the little arrow above the u. As far as I know that's solely from the English translators.

Yeah, I've been prepping myself. My froend elantis is a major FY fan, so I've been gettign snippets of details from her. She also says to watch it subbed since she said the dub makes her cringe. I'll judge for myself. I may just put it on mute...

Yeah, but that's her personality too. She's a big hugger and very affectionate. Needless to say, I didn't inherit that from her. I had to be born a shy violet...

Yeah, I like it beeeter too. TOOMA is so much cooler looking. You might be thinking of 'The Grudge' that was out recently. I can just see it now:

*laughs* I'm usually reserved until I get to know someone. Then I can be rather affectionant (touching or hugging), but I have to be really comfortable first.
