Guess what I got yesterday? *giggles*

Immortal Rain Vol. 5

Sorry. Sorry. I couldn't hold in my excitement any longer! Now if I get Volume 8 of 'Fruits Basket' anytime soon, I'll just explode! I'll definitely have to post on my other journal about it. I'll probably be doing it in the same manner as before.

Mom went to work today. She just about had to since the temp who was in her spot yesterday didn't make the appoinments and all that jazz. I swear, if she ever leaves, the doctor she works for will maybe realize just all she does for him.

I have to wash the sheets today. Ho hum. I also have to look for mom's check book. She set it down somewhere and now she can't find it. I was run ragged yesterday since I had to go to the church office, then to the Health Food Store so I could pick up mom's spelt bread since she had to have it, even though it was totally out of my way. I had to get gas too since I was practically coasting on fumes. Gas prices are atrocious!! $2.09 per gallon!! Gaaaah! And it isn't even summer yet! Then I had to go to the Post Office and get some stamps, which I couldn't do since the stamp machine wouldn't take my money. Grrr.

Today, I feel like being lazy, but I really can't. I really don't know why since, other than running some errands for mom, I didn't do much of anything.

It's insane. Seriously insane. And when summer gets here, it'll probably be even higher since more people travel then. *stabs stupid greedy oil companies*

WOAH 2.09? hot darn it's only 1.81 here when I filled up yesterday.

Try to work to get some time to be lazy, however that may negate laziness itself. =\

There was a time when I though $1.25 was expensive. Now, I'd give away my first born in order to pay that much! Sheesh.

I don't drive yet, so this doesn't affect me-- but if you think those gas prices are bad, you should come here. $2.27 was the cheapest my mom could find yesterday, and at their peak, they've been $2.40.

So glad I don't drive yet. Or pay for gas, at least. *g*

I'm not surprised it's high in California. Everything's expensive over there. But you at least have a decent transit system, though.

I heard it's supposed to get up to about $2.25 this summer. Nnnggg.
