Welp, I'm all paid up for another year. All is good. I've decided I'm gonna break down and buy the 'Fruits Basket' art book. After I pay my other important stuff first, though. If I have enough left over, I'll get it. It's just too big of a temptation. I know, I'm weak, but I don't care.

Yesterday was a mini adventure. I woke up semi-early so I could take mom to work. Then I had to go back and pick her up for a doctor's appointment. We go to the office and she checks in and I hunker down with my freshly bought edition of the 'MARS' gaiden to wait out the 2+ hour procedure. I plug in my headphones and everything, when she comes out 20 some minutes later. Needless to say, I was quite a bit surprised. She told me that she had a bit of an infection and the doctor didn't want to do the procedure until it had cleared up. So we went home and took a much need nap before we headed off to the game.

It was a good game! Both teams played good and our team won by three points! It was very surprising! We had really good seats, too. Usually we sit in the upper deck, but this time we were in the lower deck! It was so nice. The friend we went with said it made it seem as though the players were 'real' since we were so close!! The was this guy who sat in front of us who kept taking pictures not only of the game, but of himself at the game. What was up with that?

I was able to download 'Death Note' that flamika sent me! Hopefully I'll get around to reading it at some point. Things have been busy lately. Speaking of which, I was pleasantly surprised to find a little blurb on DN in the latest issue of 'Anime Insider.' Issue #20 to be precise. Here's the article:

I've been seriously slacking on ATACT. I feel so bad. I sorta have an idea, but things have been majorly hectic and intense lately, I haven't gotten the chance to expand on it. I don't wanna do anything half-assed. *sigh* Maybe by the middle of next week, things will have calmed down considerably.

And uber wooo that youre getting the art book!! Trust me you wont regret it! Where are you buying it from? I was lucky, I found out about them right before my birthday/xmas. I had my friend get me the first one for my birthday (november), and my dad get me the second for xmas, since I cant order stuff online, plus, Im poor XD

I was happy to have randomly stumbled across it! Yay me!

Well, I'm probably gonna order it online. I went to the anime place we have here in town. I was able to (finally) find the 'MARS' gaiden, but when I went looking to see if they , by chance, had the art book, they didn't. But I did see that AnimeNation (http://www.animenation.com/4592732200.html) had it at a fairly decent price, so that's probably where I'm gonna order it from.

And I just finished reading the first two chapters! Whoo! It looks as though I'm in for an interesting ride! The artwork is phenominal! I mean, the detail given just to the backgrounds even!! And I tell you one thing, I wouldn't want to cross Raito any. He seems a little too eager to use that notebook. I can't believe the artist is the same guy who did 'Hikaru no Go.' It looks completely different. Although, I admit I could see a few similarites now and then in a few spots. Looking forward to the next part!!

I like how the chapters are called 'pages.'

I really enjoyed the artwork as well. If this artist released an artbook of Death Note, I would definitely want to buy it. I haven't read HnG so I guess I can't compare. ^_^

I haven't either, but I was in the bookstore once after I heard the artist was the same and wanted to see for myself. I was floored. I stood by the manga shelf flipping through it and thinking, "This is by the same guy who draws 'Death Note?' Wow his style changed!" But then, HnG is directed more towards a younger crowd while DN definitely isn't.
