Well, I hope everyone had a pleasant holiday! I did, except for the huge rainstorm all day. Ugh! I got a few nice things, as listed below.
My Stash:
From Dad-- The Star Wars DVD set, widescreen of course; The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King Extended Edition; Special Edition of Mulan, Special Edition of Aladdin.
From Mom-- The Princess Diaries 2.
From Grandma-- Gift Card to Cracker Barrel.
From my Aunt and Uncle-- A cat calander.
Not too bad. I wasn't expecting anything from Mom since money's been tight, so I was pleasantly surprised. I got her two CD's: MercyMe Undone and Allison Krause's newest one. She really liked them. I'm glad.
We went to see the "Phantom of the Opera" movie on Christmas Eve. It's really good! I'd see it again. The singing was phenominal and it was all everyone's own voices except for Minnie Driver who played Carlotta. And the guy playing the Phantom was pretty hot! I was thinking, "I could go for him, if he wasn't so homicidal!"
Mom got Limewire to work. She even downloaded a few Christmas songs. She said after she burned them onto CD, the sound was normal instead of tinny and hollow. So I guess the problem lies in my speakers, which I'm not surpried.
Mom also found out I have a blog. I was reluctant to tell her not because I post anything naughty or anything, but I post alot about my anime and manga stuff and I know she'd ask all sorts of questions about how much I spend on it. I don't go overboard or anything, but it's still something I'd rather keep to myself. I'm hoping she'll forget about it.
Speaking of which,
peters_lostgirl I recieved noticed I'll be getting volume 4 of Immortal Rain! Whee!

And I would highly reccomend seeing it! It's wonderful, but then I'm a bit biased.

Sorry. I realized I rambled.

I was a bit on edge for a while after my mom found out about my LJ, too. I don't do anything really bad, but every once in a while I'll talk about doing something she might not approve of. But now I don't care. If she reads it and wants to bitch at me she can bitch at me. I know I haven't done anything wrong.

Well, she hasn't mentioned it again, but hopefully I'll be able to handle it. But I'm the same way. I don't talk about anything 'dirty,' but it's still somewhat personal. If I tell her that, she tell me, "Well, you let your dad read it." or something like that. I only let him read it is because he lives in another part of the country and I never see him.
