*steps up to microphone* Hello. I'm Snap and I'm addicted to manga. Do I want to get clean? *thinks* Not really.

Well, I found another manga title to snatch up. "Mars." Someone mentioned it and I saw a copy in the store the other day and I thought, "What the hell. Why not." I read it, now I want more. I'm reading more shojo titles than I used to. I thinks it's the pretty boys. They draw me in. Well, them and the romance. I guess since I don't have any romance in my own life, I have to live vicariously through others. So, today, after breakfast, I went to B&N to get more "Mars." They had almost the entire series in there! Give or take a couple of volumes. I picked up three. I was tempted to pick up the others, but I didn't. I figure, it's best to spread my manga buying into clumps so I don't feel quite as guilty about it. However, I still want to buy them. *hangs head* I swear, if I ever get a job, it'll be only to support my habit.

I also got "Saiyuki" no. 5 yesterday, too. It tells of how the guys' paths cross and a little more about them. RK #8 is headed my way as well.

Well, there goes my haircut for this month...

You seriously need to read "The Wallflower." A whole BUNCH of cuties in there!

Here's the story:

"It's a gorgeous, spacious mansion, and four handsome, fifteen-year-old friends are allowed to live in it for free!

There's only one condition - that within three years the guys must transform the owner's wallflower niece into a lady befitting the palace in which they all live! How hard can it be? Enter Sunako Nakahara, the agoraphobic, horror-movie-loving, pockmark-faced, frizzy-haired, fashion-illiterate recluse who tends to break into explosive nosebleeds whenever she sees anyone attractive."

It does sound interesting. However, at the moment, I'm needing to satisfy my "Mars" jones. It's getting pretty bad.

MarsMarsMarsMarsMars. *_* So good. I get to read a new volume tonight, since I passed the 15,000 word mark last night . . .

I've also had The Wallflower highly recommended to me, but haven't read it yet. Bloody addictive shoujo. >.

*sigh* Yes, it is very good. I've never been as emotionally involved in a manga as I have been with Mars. And the fact that Rei's a hottie doesn't hurt, either. ~_^

What volume are you in? I finished reading 5 last night. Of course, come Monday, I'm buying the rest... *is pathetic*

I read vol. 10 last night. I have the whole thing sitting there, tempting me (all but the side story, which Ginny says can wait).

I'm really into Mars, but nowhere near as emotionally attached as I am to Furuba (still my favorite by far).

Mars is great, great, great. I hit about Volume 12 and couldn't afford more, but I need to go back and read the rest because it's so beautiful. Sort of a hurt/comfort thing but who cares. I love it. Real romance, for once, is a very good thing.

I'll tell you just how emotionally involved I'm getting: When Shiori shows up in Vol. 4 I was practically shouting, "Step back, bitch! Rei's with Kira now!!"

Monday morning comes, I'm heading out and buying as many of the volumes my local Barnes & Nobles carries. I'm still missing #2 and was upset at missing their first date, but I can make up for it later.

It is beautiful. I just about cried in a few scenes. Plus, I'm so hard up for romance, I have to live it through others. I'm buying the rest come Monday, hard core addicted as I am.
