Let's break it down now.
Friday:
Had a appointment with a new health care provider. I was getting tired of my other doctor's lack of sympathy and bedside manner, so I jumped ship let us say. My new one is a Nurse Practitioner, but that sort of thing doesn't make a difference to me. She's very nice and very thorough. She seems to actually care for her patients (which I realize is an utterly ABSURD thing to do).
And I picked up a few books also. Gotta feed my habit, Lord knows!!
Later on in the evening, I readied myself for a night out with a friend of mine whom I recently reconnected with online via Twitter and Facebook and all that. She's a manga/anime fangirl as well, just like me. Also a bit of a Japanophile. Not that that's a bad thing, mind you, since I'm a bit of one myself. She's going to get a chance to actually go to Japan in a few months for a few weeks. I'm trying not to be jealous...
I did get an invite from her to go to EPCOT sometime next month. Need to file my taxes so I can have some scratch to pay my way in as well as for a few goodies. And I fully intend to wear my Minnie ears...
Saturday:
Mom and I mostly ran our errands and then stopped by Ben & Jerry's for some ice cream. Basically we were looking for some time to kill before the movie we were going to see started and since B&J was right next door to the theater... We went to see Avatar BTW. I really liked it! It is a bit long, but I never really noticed until the very end when my bladder began to complain. Even though I tried to minimize my fluid intake... Go see it in 3-D if you can.
Sunday:
I went to church by myself because mom had a photo shoot at a Haiti relief benefit our company had put together in addition to other local sponsors and she had to be there at ten even though it technically didn't start until one. So I stopped by after I ate lunch and said hello and scoped out everything.
Then I went home and read a bit and took a nap for the majority of the afternoon. I know. How ambitious of me.
Mom might need to have surgery on her knee relatively soon. I don't know what she did to it, but after she got home yesterday from her shoot, it was hurting her a lot more than usual. She thinks something might've gave way or something. She can't even put her weight on it. She's hobbling around, leaning on a walking staff for support right now. She did see her doctor today who suggested she get an MRI and see the orthopedist. Hopefully she'll be able to get it fixed properly so she can function (somewhat) normally again. It's been giving her trouble for years and it's been kind of a bitch to deal with since she can't walk on it or stand on it for a long period of time or else it flares up. I told her not to put it off any longer or else she might end up permanently crippled.
Well, that's everything thus far. Work is still the same ol-same ol. But even having a job that's tedious beats not having a job at all.
