I was able to get a surprising amount posted actually.
Mom was going to try a new diet today. It was a low carb one, the only catch is that she'd have to eat the same. exact thing every day for a week. I could not do that. I like a little variety to my meals. Needless to say, she didn't last very long.
Something I've kinda been curious about is all the animosity towards redheads, especially in England. I bring this up because I caught an episode of South Park where Cartman was suddenly a redhead, after having made fun of other redheads (gingervitis I believe it was called).
I know in older times, redheads were thought to be witches and connected to the occult, but that was pretty much done away with over the course of history. I guess it's because they stand out a little more or something? I find it to be baffling. I mean, I think red hair is pretty nifty.

Today in History: 1804 Aaron Burr shot Alexander Hamilton to death in their famous duel this day. Samuel Broadhurst, a relative of Burr’s, had tried to negotiate a settlement between the two, but Burr offered the challenge and the duel ensued. Burr won by drawing first blood.
