snapdragon76I'll make this entry pretty short since I'm feeling kinda blah right now and am trying to fight off a headache. I guess this means I shouldn't be listening to Iron Maiden then huh...
Our Fourth was pretty good. No cookouts though. Mom and I went to see a "double feature" of sorts. First we saw Public Enemies, which was pretty good. It had both Christian Bale and Johnny Depp in it, so it was definitely a must see for that at least. Then we went to seeIce Age3, which was pretty cute. I wonder how many of these they plan on cranking out however. We saw previews for the next Chipmunks movie, which is coming out next year I believe. It looks cute and it'll have the Chipettes in it.
After our flick fest, we headed to the ball park where we caught an evening game of our local minor league team. We lost, but not by a humiliating margin, which was good. Afterward were the fireworks, which was our main reason for going. I was able to take a few pictures that turned out OK. Next time I see fireworks, however, I'm filming them. I think that'll be easier and more impressive visually.
Yesterday was a typical Sunday really. We stayed after church service for a surprise birthday party which was pretty nice. Then we got some groceries and went home. I slept for a good portion of the day. I watched a bunch of DVD's over the long weekend, so it was a lot of late nights for me. Friday night I think I stayed up until four AM. Of course, my cat doesn't believe in the concept of sleeping in and woke me up about 9:30, the little shit.
Today I came into work to discover that the A/C was busted. Lovely. I have a small clip fan that I use sometimes, so that helped. Maintenance was on the ball apparently since it was actually fixed the same day. This surprises me because maintenance usually takes forever to fix things and they also had to order a part. It seems the motor burned up. Once it was fixed it ran like gangbusters. It was much colder than it usually was, so I guess the motor was on it's way out for awhile.
I think I'm gonna read some of my FL, and then read and turn in early today. I almost fell asleep at my desk while at work. Not a good thing...
