snapdragon76: this is made of win and awesome (Kyo -- *EMO*)
Well, I'm home early for a reason, which I'll get into a bit later. First, a weekend update plus and minus style!

Saturday:

(+)Drive to Orlando. I like car trips, plus I brought my DS to occupy myself, so all was good.
(-)Going back to the house to pick up said DS... and cell phone charger... and magazines.
(-)Rain on way to Orlando... *fnarl*
(+)Going to revisit my old alma mater! Man, things have changed!! Even in just the five years I've graduated! The new Arena is very nice...
(+)Checking into the motel. Man, it was good to kick off my shoes and relax.
(-)Having to fuss with the Internet connection. Why can't ALL hotel rooms have Wi-Fi connections?!
(---)Not having the plum top I'd planned on wearing to the concert. I could've kicked myself! Luckily I had bought a shirt at the campus bookstore which proved to be serviceable... Hense the title.
(+)The pre-concert Martini Bash. Although the lines were long, the Appletini I got was pretty darn good, after I got over the initial bitterness of the vodka. The Screwdriver mom had was pretty decent too (though nothing compared to the one I had at Scarlett O'Hara's). I think I was even a little buzzed, despite the fact I only had one. Of course, it was on an empty stomach... Mom originally wanted an Amaretto Sour, but the bartender didn't have any Amaretto. "I can make you a Vodka Sour, a Whiskey Sour or a Gin Sour."
(++++ ect...) The concert. Fan-tabulous!!! Michael definitely puts on quite a show! The way he interacts with his audience was excellent. He's a consummate entertainer. The opening act was called Naturally 7. They were WONDERFUL!! They did all of the instrumentation just with their voices alone! Whoa! Anyway, I have pics!!! Totally worth going!!
(--)Forgetting to bring my pills... -_-
(--)Getting a crick in my neck from looking at the screen from the side of the stage...
(--)Not being able to watch any of my anime. So no Death Note, Bleach and Blood+.

Sunday:

(++)Shopping at a two story mall that's much nicer than ours! Ohh, the money I spent... I mean, the Barnes & Noble was HUUUUGE!! I can't tell you how many books I bought. Any of you on my GoodReads list probably know already.
(-)Crapping out on finding LOTF Revelation. *fnarl*
(+)Coming home and taking a nap...
(---)Coming home to find a cat crapped on the bed... -_-
(++)Going to group study and eating breakfast! Yummmmssssss...

Anyway, that was my weekend. I'd like a nice relaxing weekend sometime. It won't be this weekend I can tell you that. Basically my boss today "press ganged" me into working this weekend. I know that it's the end of the month and things need to get posted before we close out the month. Normally I do as much as I can during the week so I don't have to work on Saturdays. No such luck getting out of it this time. Oh well, hopefully I won't have to be there TOO long. Which is the reason I came home early. There's no overtime approved, so I have to deduct my time on Saturday from the rest of the week...

Oh, and the Oscars were on last night. I missed the first half because we had group study and it kinda went long. [livejournal.com profile] cleolinda probably has the running commentary of awesome on her journal though.
