Well, turns out, I wasn't overreacting. The meeting wasn't all that good. Basically they were telling me not to freak out anymore. Well, it's not as though I took an Uzi and sprayed the place with bullets or anything. Still, I got written up for it... So I have to act robotic for at least a month.

So today was filled with a lot of self-loathing. I mean, I am only human, and tend to make mistakes. And I know I'm not the only one who's ever gotten emotional over something at work, but maybe it was because I'm new. So, sometime next week (I think), I'm being moved out of the OB/GYN office and back into the main building. I'll miss all the ladies I work with, since I really like working with them, and it doesn't solve the problem of them being short-handed over there. So, things are kinda odd right now.

In much better news, I stopped by the bookstore and struck paydirt! Not only did I get two new manga (DN 9 and Wallflower 10), I finally found the book I'd been looking for last week! A Love to Die For. I was so excited! Man, I struck gold! Now, whenever I find Saiyuki Reload 6, I'll have struck Platinum!

kawaiiayu,flamika and I tried to video chat last night. We met with minimal success. Hopefully, tonight we'll be able to chat for longer.

What happened that they didn't like? Were you having anxiety attacks at work? What did they write up? It sounds very strange. Anxiety is a medical issue that you can't just stop "doing". O.o

At my old job, I was stressed 99.9% of the time, and would often cry or have mental breakdowns simply by being there.

I'm really sorry you're having trouble at work. I can relate. Phil the Nurse saw me cry a couple of times in the old house when I couldn't finish my work, and now he seems to think I'm going to fall apart all the time and will snap at me to "stop me from doing it." (Which wouldn't actually help if I were going to do it...)

I hope you can feel a little better and things get better at work.

It wasn't an anxiety attack per se. I might've gotten a bit emotional and it was considered "unprofessional." Besides, it's not as if it happens all the time, but I guess it was something that they felt needed to be address. Which is one of the reasons they're moving me to a different building, to lessen my stress a little.

In any case, I have to be a very good girl and try to contain my emotional outbursts.

I "spoke sharply to another employee" to which I later apologized for. They said it happened another time, which I honestly don't remember doing, but I think twice out of over three months of working there isn't that big of a deal, but I'm in no position to argue whatsoever.

That's too bad. And still odd. Nice that they're moving you to a less stressful position/building, I suppose. It shows they're trying to meet your needs and find a compromise for everybody. But it also sounds like they're over-reacting. I hope the move lessens your stress though! That would be great. :)

Yeah, God forbid anyone show any sort of emotion or anything. It's not like we're all perfect beings who don't ever make mistakes or show any pressure under stress.

Yeah, I thought that it was a bit of an overreaction myself, but then, I'm not entirely in control of the situation.

The only thing I'm truly upset about, is that I'll be leaving my co-workers whom I really like a lot. Plus, I'll be leaving them short-handed when one of them is going on maternity leave next week.

But, I did like two of the ladies I had worked with when I was training, so it'll be nice to see them again.
