snapdragon76: this is made of win and awesome (Kyo -- *EMO* (flamika))
The conference was very nice. Mom and I enjoyed ourselves. Unfortunately, the real world was lying in wait for us.

For me, it wasn't too bad, except I had a lot waiting for me. I was able to scan the charts that were waiting, but I got behind on some of the loose stuff. I'm not as concerned about that stuff as much as I am the actual charts themselves. Anyway, I also has messages for the last part of the day, and that took up some time. So it was a bit on the hectic side today. I have orientation tomorrow so I'll be even further behind.

Mom had is worse, though. It seems the replacement for her didn't really work out all that well, and of course it was all her fault. /sarcasm. She went to her superior (not the doctor she works for, but the person in charge of personnel in her building), and said she's had as much as she can take working in the environment she does. She later on said to my aunt over the phone that she doesn't have to work as many hours now that I have a job and can take up the slack. that's all well and good, but it seems to imply that I'm still gonna be living here for awhile. I'd like to eventually move out, but it seems mom intends for me to stick around. As if I wasn't pathetic enough. I'm gonna be known as the 40 year old woman still living with mommy. No wonder I can never get a date! What guy wants to date someone who, at age 30, is barely making above minimum wage and still lives at home with her mother!

I just need to whinge a bit. Ignore my wallow.

I was gonna make this the Christmas List post, but I think I'll push it back a couple of days due to emo.

Trivia of the day: Some species of freshwater eels migrate to the Sargasso Sea in the Atlantic Ocean to mate. After laying up to 20 million eggs, the female eel dies. The baby eels hatched from the eggs then make their way back to fresh water.
