*shivers* It's times like these I wouldn't mind having a husband around to cuddle. I'm still in my pj's cause I'm too cold to change my clothes!
This weekend was a busy one for us. Two Christmas parties and a Memorial Service. They were fun though (the parties, BTW). The one yesterday was the one where we made gingerbread houses. It was so much fun. We broke into teams and we had a contest between us to make a winning gingerbread house. The one my team made was "Mr. and Mrs. Snowman Go to Vacation in Death Valley." We wanted something different, so we went with a southwestern theme. I crunched Graham Crackers into sand and we added some food coloring to icing in order to make it orangy soi we could have an Adobe style gingerbread house. We even had a little peanut butter fudge coyote! We came in second over all. First Place went to the team that made a Gilligan's Island themed house. It was pretty neat looking, except Mr. Howell was being attcked by sharks. The other two houses had "hurricane" damage. The judge said we were all morbid this time around.
This week is going to be busy for me as well. I have yet to get mom's Christmas gift. Wednesday, I have to go over to my Grandmother's and put her Christmas tree up. I have yet to put ours up. Thursday is my last hospice volunteering, and Friday I have a lunch date! *eyes twirl*
I have an idea for a job prospect for me. Guidance Counseling! I have to contact the school board and see what sort of certification I'll be needing to do, but they do hire people with Bachelor's! Whee! Now, maybe I can help mom out some more.
I've been collecting some icons for when I buy more icon space in a few months. Some Gren ones, some Mars ones,and I'll be looking for some Furuba and Amon ones. I'll have up to 50, so I'll be having some space.
