Well this week-end was a fairly interesting one to be sure. President Bush visited our area on Saturday. It's still exciting, whether you support him or not. As a result, people trying to leave the stadium (where he was speaking) tried to shortcut through the Wal-Mart parking lot (where we were getting groceries) and caused a traffic backup. People were so impatient that they started honking horns pointlessly so people would move. No body courld really move anyway, so all you could do was just wait for the traffic to start flowing again. Later that night, we had an "Apple Festival" at our Worship Minister's house for those of us involved on the worship team. Since me and mom run the computer that puts the lyrics to song on the screens for people to see, we counted as members of the team. It was a lot of fun!
Volume 2 of "Immortal Rain" is headed my way. And of course, I managed to see it in the bookstore yesterday. I flipped through it some and it looked like an interesting volume. I also got "InuYasha" 19 which I'd been waiting for this side of forever and ordered vol. 18 from Books-A-Million to pick up sometime after next Sunday. I think this month I've purshased more manga than any other time. Almost 10 books! Only two of which are duplicates. Maybe next month I'll get a bit of a reprieve, especially since I need to get my hair cut and I want to buy me a new pair of kicks (some Chuck Taylors).
This week is going to be fairly busy for me. I have a doctor's appointment this afternoon and Thursday I'll be starting up my volunteeering again. Whew!
Trivia of the Day:THe kings in a deck of cards each represent a great king from history. The king of spades is King David, the king of clubs is Alexander the Great, the king of hearts is Charlemange, and the king of diamonds is Julius Caeser.
