Well, after a long absence, I'm back. I lost my cable modem on Tuesday and couldn't get it replaced until today. It was agonizing! I swear, I felt like I was going through withdrawals! OK, not really, but it seemed that way. So, I shall do a small recap on stuff I did over the week. May contain spoilers, BTW.
Mon: They killed off Speed! I can't believe it! I liked Speed! *sniff*
Also watched "How Clean is Your House." This woman's place look horrible!! She had gum everywhere!!! Bleagh! Not just that, but there was trash all over the place. The microwave was disgusting! *shudders*
Tues: Went to Best Buy. I was trying to look for the "InuYasha" movie and the newest "Wolf's Rain" DVD. No luck. I did pick up "Gungrave." See further down for review.
Wed: Watched "Smallville." Tom Welling still looks hot. And we meet Lois Lane. They left us on a cliff-hanger though, dammit! Also watched "CSI:NY." Looks pretty good!
Thurs: Watched "CSI" with mom. I really didn't like the girl they replaced Greg with. She's a bit uptight. But, Greg's trying his hand out on the field. Hang in there, Greg! It'll get better. Best line: "Looks like you've got something stuck on your shoe. Oh, never mind, it's just Greg." said by Brass to Grissom. Ha!
Fri: Watched "Gungrave" yesterday. It's pretty good so far. I can definitely see Nightow's artistic fingerprints all over it, and trust me, that's a good thing. I do hope future episodes will have more present day scenes. I understand that the flashbacks are extremely important to the story, but I do hope they have a couple of good present day episodes as well. Now, I hope that Mika is actually Brandon's daughter. It seems that she's the daughter of Big Daddy, but I'm holding out that she's really Brandon's. I know it'd be kind of cliche, but still. I'm going to go with it until I see more of the show.
Oh, Jeanne is headed our way. September has not been the greatest month for us. We're not evacuating, so we've got some plywood and are gonna hunker down. She's supposed to come Saturaday reall late. I just hope I don't miss "InuYasha" and "Wolf's Rain." I don't know if we'll lose power or not.
