Well, Ch. 106 is out and I have seen the scans! And they are good! *a-hem* Anyway, there was much Haru/Rin goodness in this chappie! As if the previous one wasn't enough, Takaya-sensei blesses us with more! Yay! They're so cute! So, I shall attempt to summarize from the summaries I read:
Rin wakes up in the hospital, still thinking she's in the cat's house (for lack of a better term). She wonders if everything that's happened has been a dream and thinking she has to go back.
The hospital gets hold of Hatori, informing him that Rin's gone missing. And we get to she him looking mighty fine in a kimono. Most of the time he's in professional attire. Anyway, he then calls Haru. His mom answers and goes to tell him that there's a phone call for him, but he doesn't answer her.
At the Main House, Kureno asks about Akito and one of the older maids tells him she's not eating or taking any visitors. She then turns on him and asks him how he could do such a thing to her (by helping Rin). He then asks her if things should have stayed how they were (with Rin being in the cathouse). She does and says that without Akito, the Jyuunishi are nothing. No better than the cat monster. Their sole purpose of exsisting is to live and die by the whim of the God. (Whatever lady!)
Rin continues to contemplate her "dream" of being rescued by Kureno from the room. How she had originally wanted to confront him after what she saw transpire between him and Tohru. How she was pissed at him for making Tohru cry like that and how she wanted to beat the crap out of him, but she lost sight of him. However, she did run into Ren (Akito's whacked out mother). Rin's memory of Ren was her being kind towards her so she asked Ren if she knew how to break the curse. Ren replied that she'd tell her only if Rin did something for her in return. Ren tells Rin that there is something she wants, a treasure, that's in Akito's chambers. Ren can't go look for it herself since Akito's quarters are heavly watched ansd she herself is guarded. She feels Rin might be able to sneak in and find it.
Just as Rin finds what she's looking for (a box), Akito finds her. Akito gives Rin the choice of either being lock up, or having Haru blinded. Rin, naturally, chooses to spare Haru and willingly allows herself to be locked away, claiming she'll stay there and realize she's worthless. (*sniffle*)
Ren later learns from one of her attendants that Rin got locked away and asks if she really knew how to break the curse. Ren blows her off and says she knew knew how to do such a thing. She also reveals that despite Rin's fond memories of Ren, Ren always disliked Rin and only wanted to use her to get the box form Akito's quarters. (*stabbies Ren*)
Rin, still thinks that the whole circumstances of her being rescued by Kureno was a dream, and so she wants her dreams to focus on gentle Haru (Awwwww!). She thinks about how she so deperately wanted to help him find his happiness. She sees him talking to her and still thinks she's dreaming. It's only when he picks her up that she realizes she isn't. She had collapsed on the road coming from the hospital. Unlike a previous time when she collapsed, Haru's able to carry her on his own. He tells her he's not going to give up on her and that she needs to go as far as she can on her own and when she can't he'll be there to carry her. (*sniffles*) To him, she's never a burden. She then tells him to take her home and he welcomes her.
*bawls* This chapter was filled with such squishy moments it makes me want to melt!!
And
flamika I fully expect to see icons of Haru carrying Rin, ya hear! Don't dissapoint me!
In other media news, a new 'Star Wars' book is coming out in July called "The Joiner King." It's more with the new generation of Jedi (like NJO was). I look forward to it.
Also, tonight, there's a kind of 'meet and greet' for a potential ministerial candidate for our church. We're bringing a desert, which I have to go later and buy the ingredients for.
