snapdragon76: this is made of win and awesome (Default)
I killed two cockroaches in my bathroon last night. One was average size, but the other one was about the size of my thumb! *shudders* It's because we've been having a lot of rain recently and all the bugs move to drier land... our house! Bleh! The big was was really messy, too.

We're going to get our pictures taken for the church directory tonight. I hope they turn out half-way decent. Maybe I'll post the results. I did get my pictures developed of me in my reunion duds, but I look liked I was drugged or something, so I'm not putting those up.

Mom had a bit of an amusing incident happen yesterday morning. She was fixing some baked potatoes so she could have some to take for lunches. Well, one must've leaked in the oven, dripping water and a little bit of cooking oil onto the bottom of the oven, adhering itself to the bottom. So, she decided to finish fixing it in the microwave as she was taking her shower. She placed it in a Corell bowel and used a saucer to cover it (she did add a bit of water in the bowl). She figures she must've hit a button on the time a bit longer, because when she opened the microwave, the was a broken bowl and a charcoled piece of potato. I tell you, when I got up, the place reeked of burnt food! It stil does to an extent. Whew!

Quote of the day: "Either she had to sleep in the closet or with the three guys. She don't want to sleep with Brigitte Nielsen because she's a crazy bitch."
--Charo, explaining why she's OK sharing a room with Ryan Starr on The Surreal Life.

For some reason I find this quote to be endlessly amusing.

...I didn't know it was possible to burn a potato that badly in the microwave... o_O (The poor potato!) And ick! I don't know if I'd be so calm about seeing cockroaches scurrying about the house. (But then, I've never seen a real one before.) I think I'll put up with the house spiders...

Yeah, we getr our fair share of spiders, too. They mostly converge... in my bathroom!! What is it with my bathroom that bugs like so much? I don't like surprises when I shower.

They go seeking moisture then can't get back out. I find them in my sink and my shower too often. (Not fun when since I'm not usually wearing my contacts.)

Size of your hand? Shudders. And I thought the ones here were bad.

Thanks for the compliment. I like it this way, too.
