snapdragon76I had a mini brush with celebrity this week-end. While we (Mom, Grandma and I) were at Wal-Mart, the older gentleman behind us urged us to go and see "Alexander." I was like, "O... K" but he continues and says his grand-daughter is in it. His grand-daughter? Rosario Dawson. I was pretty impressed, seeing as it was someone I had actually heard of. I explained to mom as we were leaving that she'd been in "MIB II" as the girl that J and K were watching after. She knew who i was talking about after that. I didn't mention that she played Valerie in "Josie and the Pussycats." She'd never seen it.
I watched the conclusion of the Kyoto Arc this week-end. I still wanna get the boxed set. I really like the OP and EP for some reason. I don't skip over them when I play it like I do sometimes. Of course, I don't do it for my "Trigun" DVD's either. ^_^ I also saw the first few episode of the Meiji Arc. I liked the one where Kaoru gets the ring from Kenshin and totally misinterprets the meaning behind it. The look on Kenshin's face when Tae told him that Kaoru thought it meant they were engaged! Hilarious! Then of course, the attempts by the guys to get the ring back is equally amusing. *snicker*
I also bought two more manga. One was volume 4 of "Saiyuki" and the other was volume one of an earlier work by Rumiko Takahashi called "Mermaid Saga." In volume four of "Saiyuki," we learn more about Hakkai's past. I felt extremely bad for him after finding out what happened to him. I got "Mermaid Saga" mostly because I like Rumiko Takahashi and I also like mermaids. Of course, the combination of the two make an excellent story (or stories), it's not all that pleasant.
