I laugh at gravity all the time. Hahaha, gravity...

Well, mom did have a nice birthday "party" you could say. It was about half a dozen people, but it was still a lot of fun and she seemed to really enjoy it, so that's all that matters in the end. :D

Due to the kaffuffle from the fraud mess with our company, we are ALL REQUIRED to take online training courses about compliance and all that good stuff. It's not difficult or anything, just time consuming and kinda boring. But we were told that if we don't finish by this Friday, we will be "written up." Talk about overkill. All I have to do is finish a small portion of the second test and I'll be finished.

I've been on a real A:TLA kick lately for some reason. Maybe it's the hype from the movie coming out in July or what I dunno. but I've been mainlining anything I could from the series, the wiki, the tvtropes page (both of which are lengthy) and fanart. I finally broke down and ordered all three seasons form Amazon (after an unsuccessful search in the stores). So this weekend I plan to marathon as much A:TLA as I can.

So, I thought I'd share a little something I found while scouring through YouTube. Enjoy!

I love AtLA, and I think I didn't realize you were familiar with it. It's a great show.

And belated Happy Birthday to your mom.

It is. Good characters, good plot, good animation.

Thank you! I shall tell her!

Whoo Toph!

Wow, I've heard so much about this show, but have never seen any of it. It's on my "to watch" list, and hopefully, when I can afford Netflix again, I can bump it up to the top.

Oh you should really check it out when you get the chance. I haven't seen all of it yet, but what I have seen is most excellent!!

Ahhh, reminds me of how much I used to love that show. If I ignore the last four minutes, I enjoy it all over again. XD

LOL, Zutara fan are we? . I just finished the last few episodes a couple of days ago and now I feel I can get back to the rest of my life a little, LOL!

[identity profile] zelamenomiko.livejournal.com 2010-06-12 12:05 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, a Zutara fan, big time, but that's not the only reason I disliked the ending. I had a lot of issues with it on the whole. *shrug*

I tried not to get too involved with the shipping wars. A:TLA can be a very scary fandom in some places...

Was it the energybending thing? A lot of people had issues with that part...

[identity profile] zelamenomiko.livejournal.com 2010-06-12 03:22 am (UTC)(link)
I was in the thick of it during the worst of the shipping wars (which can still be pretty scary) though more as an observer "I don't give a rats ass what anyone else things, I enjoy what I enjoy but keep to myself" type way.

God, yes. The Energy Bending, the iWin button on Aang's back, the Deus Ex Machina LionTurtle, the lack of closure regarding Zuko's mom, the fact that Ozai was still alive . . . .

Lots, and lots, and loooooots of issues. *shrug*

Yeah, I saw glimpses of that as well. I was pretty much over here in my own little corner, minding my own business and not getting involved...

I heard somewhere that the creator were going to include something about the whereabouts of Ursa, but I think they had a time issue and couldn't include it. Still, be nice to know where she is...

I for one always wanted to know what happened with Azula? I mean, she can still firebend and she's completely off her rocker. Pretty dangerous situation if you ask me...

Are you going to see the live action movie that's coming out?

[identity profile] zelamenomiko.livejournal.com 2010-06-12 05:19 pm (UTC)(link)
I have to admit, I did a lot of laughing over the wars, too. It got highly amusing sometimes.

Yeah, it would be, and it would be nice to know what she's been up to, too, the whole time.

I read on the official website for AtLA that Azula was locked up in the Fire Nation's version of a mental ward on an island somewhere. *shrug*

No, I have no interest in the live action movies at all.

[identity profile] snapdragon76.livejournal.com 2010-06-13 12:49 am (UTC)(link)
Mental ward? Kinda like Arkham Asylum? I just hope she doesn't escape or anything...

I am interested mostly out of pure curiosity...
