You're a freak, a super freak, you're super freaky! Yeah!
Well, I finally had my employee review today. It wasn't too bad, actually. I think the edge was taken off by my migraine meds which left me feeling a little loopy. I got a 3% raise (which was only about a few cents more. Instead of making 9.50 and hour, I now make 9.76. Still, a raise is a raise...)
Man, this weekend was busy. Saturday I spent most of the morning catching up with some TV shows I recorded and mom was at a Weight Watchers meeting with my aunt. When she got back, we went and ran our errands. Mostly grocery shopping, but we did stop by Kohl's since they had a sale (trying to beat the Christmas rush). I was intending to look for work clothes, but I think I'll wait a bit and look at Gap first before I commit. I did get a cool shirt for fall and winter. We then ate lunch at Steak and Shake.
We stopped by the bookstore on the off chance I might find some new manga. I did, actually. The fourth volume of Emma (even though I don't have the third one). For some reason, it's hard to find it in bookstores. I guess because it's published by a lesser known company. I had the same problem with another CMX series I was buying.
I also bought a few mysteries for me to read at work, since I pretty much read anything of interest at the "library" we have there (which consists of a shelf of used books people bring in). I also got a couple of magazines.
When I got home, we started on some laundry and I read for a little bit, then I read some more of Emma *cough* which took up a significant amount of time. I also watch some of my Netflix (which I need to take back, BTW). I didn't get any Wii time this time around, however. I was too involved in the world of Emma.
Sunday was much of the same. I went to church and then I ate some Chinese. Then I did more laundry and I ironed while mom was helping my aunt do her Christmas cleaning. Yes, what fun I have...
OK, now a meme I got from
jaina: Comment regarding this, and I'll pick seven icons to ask you about.
Her picks:

fandom: Death Note
This I made after L's *sniffles* death. My friend
flamika were lamenting and I said it's be awesome to have a shirt that had "L Lives" on it. So I kinda made this icon based on that.

fandom: Samurai Deeper Kyo
character: Aka no Ou
I made this from a color chapter page from towards the end of the series that I thought looked really cool. So I made a few icons and used a tutorial and this is what I came up with!

fandom: Death Note
character: Mikami Teru
Mikami was a favorite of mine even if he was a bit deranged. This was toward the end of the series and he came a bit unglued. Again,
flamika and I were discussing stuff and I made the comment akin to what was on the icon, and she made this one for me. ^_^

fandom: Mystery Science Theater 3000
Movie: parts: the clonus horror
From
dirkdigital who is all kinds of awesome. For anyone who hasn't seen this series, what's keeping you?! Seriously!

fandom: Mystery Science Theater 3000
Movie: The Thing That Couldn't Die
Again from
dirkdigital. More MST3K.

fandom: Star Trek New Frontier
This is a quote from the main character of this novel series by Peter David, Capt. Mackenzie Calhoun. It's supposed to be the Xenexian equivalent of "shit."

character: Jacen Solo
fandom: Star Wars Expanded Universe. the eldest son of Han and Leia.
This image is from the Japanese cover of the first book in the Dark Nest trilogy, The Joiner King. Man, I loves how the Japanese portray the EU characters on their novels! Delish! Of course, now that Jacen's being a poo-poo head... it doesn't diminish his smexyness. *rawr*
That's all for now!

Word of the Day: nullibicity
Pronunciation: /nul-i-BIS-uh-tee/
n : the state or result of being nowhere
no subject
Hee, grozit! I wonder if Xenexians have any other swear words but grozit.
no subject
I dunno. What with as rough hewn as they are, I'd figured they'd have a bunch of them...
