snapdragon76: this is made of win and awesome (NANA -- Takumi (colorfilter))

"I'm your number one with a bullet. Loaded God complex, cock it and pull it..."

I can tell I like this song a lot. According to my iTunes, I've listened to it 10 times. I think I can beat that. But it's not the one I've listened to the most, though. That one is "If You Want Me To" by Ginny Owens.

I'm thinking of pre-ordering TriMax 8 from Amazon.com instead of Dark Horse. I think they may be more prompt. At least I hope so. I may order the majority of my manga from them in the future. They have good deals.

I'm having a wee bit of trouble with the one set of icons I want to do. It's finding the images that's giving the most trouble. If necessary, I can back burner it for the time being. I think I also want to make me a NANA bookmark and possibly a Kaze Hikaru one as well. I'll have to see.

My car is being poopy lately. My coolant reserve tank like to empty too quickly on me, so there may be a leak, so I can't drive it around much. *cries* Later today I have to walk down to the 7-11 to get mom some milk. It's not that far, but it's a bit nippy out and I'll be carrying something cold...

Since I don't have a lot to post on today, I'll be meme-ing it!

Squid Eyes Member Profiles

ladyyamalthea

ladyyamalthea sounds like a delicate cross between a recently castrated chicken and Johnny Rotten.

snapdragon76

During live performances by the Squid Eyes, the sound engineer has to turn snapdragon76 down below the backing vocals to stop the group as a whole from surrounding overly horrendous.
flamika

flamika seems to be more capable at using their bass as a weapon than a musical instrument.
zelamenomiko

A pollaxed Stevie Wonder would do a better job of hitting the right drums than zelamenomiko!
miyabita13

miyabita13 posesses the unique ability to detune pianos by simply looking at them.

Trivia of the day: Because the orange roughy grows slowly — the average fish is between 30 and 50 years old — the New Zealand government has imposed fishing restrictions. Consequently, the fish is not as abundant in stores as during the 1980's.

I get most of my manga at Borders but I've been very happy with Amazon too.

That band meme is hilarious.

*mutters* Stupid LJ logged me out again...

So *that's* why all the piano's seem out of tune when I go sing at my old church... it's because of my amazing ability to detune piano's with a single look. ^_^ That's really cute, though (the meme). =)

I generally get my manga from where ever I can, however, Amazon is usually really good about shipping things promptly, and if I can't get to one of the bookstores (I prefer Waldenbooks, myself), I will usually order from Amazon.com.

I know! And I think 'Squid Eyes' is a really cool band name...

I don't have a Waldenbooks around here anymore. We used to, but it not there anymore. *grumbles* So I think I'll stick with Amazon for the harder to find stuff.

[identity profile] miyabita13.livejournal.com 2006-02-10 04:27 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, Amazon is a good choice. I like Waldenbooks because they usually have a bigger selection of manga and it's just so neatly organized, but there's definitely something to be said about those cute local bookstores where you can find some of the coolest/rarest stuff! ^^ *misses those*

Yeah "Squid Eyes"!! *whips out her keyboard*

[identity profile] snapdragon76.livejournal.com 2006-02-20 04:02 pm (UTC)(link)
There's a Waldensbooks in Orlando, but with as often as I go to the bookstore, I don't wanna drive all the way there and back.

Let's rock!! *wails on her guitar*
